Tripp's Auto Body and Paint We here at Tripp's Auto Body, have been providing quality automotive repair and customer service in Nevada County for over 50 years.

It has been our honor to serve such a great community all of these years. We take both insured and uninsured cars, work on all makes and models, and always accept tow-ins. We offer free estimates Monday through Friday from 8:00 am-12:00 pm, and from 2:00 pm-5:00pm unless special arrangements are made.

Today, the team at Tripp’s Auto Body pauses to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. We are forever grateful for their service and dedication to protecting our freedom. 🇺🇸

Collision vs. Comprehensive — What’s the Difference?

We get this question all the time, so here’s a quick and simple breakdown to help you understand your coverage!

Collision Claim:

Covers damage to your vehicle when you hit something — another car, a pole, a fence, etc.

Comprehensive Claim:

Covers damage not caused by a collision — like theft, vandalism, falling objects, or weather-related events such as hail or flooding. These claims often come with a lower deductible. Things like a cracked windshield or even hitting a deer typically fall under comprehensive — and usually won’t raise your rates.
