October 23rd is approaching! ADVMotoX will be the lead bike. Right now 15 riders have committed to the challenge of raising $500 each and completing the One Day, One Cause, End Polio challenge! Show your support every dollar is matched 2:1 . Donation link in the shared post.
October 24 is World Polio Day — a day when Rotary clubs around the globe come together around one goal: END POLIO.
Here in Grayling, we’re doing our part.
On October 23, riders from The Long Day Around will climb aboard their motorcycles before sunrise and spend nearly 13 hours in the saddle, covering close to 600 miles around Northern Michigan — all to raise money for Rotary International’s End Polio Now campaign.
This is a Grayling Rotary Club event, but it is part of something much bigger. Rotary members worldwide have spent decades raising funds, delivering vaccines, educating communities, and working toward a world where no child has to suffer from polio.
Our small club of just over 30 members is proud to be among Michigan’s leading Rotary fundraisers for this cause. Last year, 8 Long Day Around riders helped raise $15,000. This year, we’re expecting 12–15 riders and we want to push that number even higher.
And you don’t have to ride 600 miles to be part of it.
Every donation helps put vaccines where they are needed most — and donations to Rotary’s polio eradication efforts are matched 2-to-1 by the Gates Foundation, tripling the impact of your contribution.
We ride for those who cannot.
