I’m sure a lot of you see posts about paint sealants, ceramic coatings, spray coatings etc, etc. we’re sure you’re also asking what in the world is the differences and benefits all these type of protections for my vehicle. We get it, there’s so many different products on the market and it’s confusing. Traditional waxes seem like a thing of the past, you know wax on, wax off, but there are some still out there that like to have a traditional was applied to their vehicles. We’re going to use traditional waxes as our example in explaining the difference in the products we offer to it. Let’s start with a paint sealant. If you look at the picture of the Ram it has a paint sealant applied on it. Compared to the Bronco, the Ram has a deeper glossier look, or as we like to call it a jetting effect. Paint sealants lasts months compared to a traditional wax that only lasts weeks. Paint sealants are a mixture of waxes and polymers which is what gives it the gloss, deepening of the paint and durability it has. We also mentioned spray coatings which normally lasts up to year and is basically a watered down version of a ceramic coating. Lastly we have an actual ceramic coating, they lasts years not months. We basically say that the ceramic coatings we offer is basically wax on steroids and PED’s. One way of telling if a vehicle has a ceramic coating applied to it is by the glossy mirror effect. If you look at the Bronco you can see that yes the color is a little deeper looking, but it has a way higher gloss look and looks like a mirror. The benefits of the products we’ve mentioned is simple, they protect your vehicles paint from various elements Mother Nature can throw at it. You ask which is best for you? Well the answer is this if like using car washes we would recommend a paint sealant or ceramic spray coating. If like washing your vehicle at home and want it to be easier to clean then we would recommend going with a ceramic coating. We washed the Bronco this morning and from start to finish it took us about 30 minutes or so. We tell everyone a full size truck/SUV takes around an hour or so to wash and dry with a ceramic coating applied. If you have any other questions or would like info on pricing and availability, please don’t hesitate to message us. You can also cal/text us as well. We hope yall have a great weekend and hope that maybe we cleared some things up about products used in the detailing world.
One of the vehicles has a long term paint sealant and the other has a ceramic coating on it. The first person to comment which vehicle has which on it correctly we’ll do a full detail with polish and a paint sealant that lasts 6-9 months for the price of an interior detail.
Some will ask what the difference is from a paint sealant to a ceramic coating. We will answer that question once someone gets it correct. Good luck!!
