Busy few days in the shop. Sonoma got a front end rebuild, all new ball joints and all of the steering components. The 32 is getting fenders.

Well finally got it uncovered and fired up. Ready to go to a cruise in Saturday.

Seat brackets made and the dodge caravan seat is in. Fits pretty good. I made the shifter just for mock up so I could figure out the length and the bends I needed but I kind of like it so I think I’m going to just finish it up and have it chrome plated and use it.

Got the steering column mounted straight now (it was really crooked), added a 2nd support bearing, changed middle u joint to a double joint to make that angle better without binding, and dropped the column 2” lower at the dash so the little woman can see over the steering wheel. Lol. Still need to get the floor mount installed. I ordered a different one than the one I was going to use but it hasn’t came in yet. Otherwise the steering should be good to go. Now to get the gas pedal mounted and set up.

Changed the wheels and swapped out the bench seat for buckets and a console. Still need to recover the dash. This truck originally had power windows and locks but someone swapped them for manual at some point. I have a nice pair of doors with power windows I’m going to put on it at some point.
Now back to work on the 32!
