I spend this past weekend in Arizona at for their digital fabrication course. We have spent the past several years doing a lot of our work using laser cutting & engraving and have recently been 3D printing as well. Being self taught with no CAD experience has made some projects frustrating. Attending this class has given me a better outlook on work flows as well as design techniques. We will start implementing this into our work immediately. Check out some of these pictures. Our class project was to finish this replica classic Porsche console with an integrated wireless phone charger and coin tray designed by Tom Miller of .nw I would like to thank Bryan for the training, Ata from for his help and convincing me to go, Patrick also from Musicar for his tips on 3D printing as well as everyone else who attended and shared their knowledge.

Super clean low mileage e46 M3 in for a sound upgrade. I somehow lost a bunch of pictures of the install but here are the ones I did have. We started out with a factory looking head unit to get modern features such as wireless Apple CarPlay. We 3D printed a mount to hold the Audison DRC MPCAN controller. The car was treated with several rolls of damping material. We added Voce ii component speakers in the factory door locations ran active on an 8 channel Forza amplifier. Audison Prima 4” coaxial speakers were installed into the rear locations on laser cut acrylic mounts. Lastly, we built a sealed enclosure that fits under the convertible top that holds 2 8” Hertz Mille Legend subwoofers that also serves as the amplifier rack. A trim panel was cut and upholstered in similar color trunk liner to factory and is held in by several magnets. Because the only way to get bass into the cabin is through the ski hole, we fabricated a custom grille with mesh on it allowing as much output as possible to get in. The DSP was tuned using a real time analyzer for optimal sound. Car sounded great when done, everything looks very factory and there is still room in the trunk for groceries!

2 weeks from now I will be headed to in Arizona for 3 days of digital fabrication training so I can be more efficient at this 3D stuff. Here is a quick controller mount I designed and printed for a BMW we are working on.

If you have called the shop or been in here in the past almost year, you have probably talked to Heather. Monday she starts her career as a 911 dispatcher. We figured a Costco tiramisu cheese cake was in order for her last day. Thank you for the help. We will miss you.

2026 Raptor Bronco in for a complete audio overhaul. If you have heard how the factory sound is in a new Bronco, you know it’s horrible. We started by completely gutting the interior and laying 12 rolls of damping material on the floor pan, door skins and door panels. The useless factory amplifier & subwoofer were removed and a mounting plate was fabricated to hold a Zen integration module, 5 and 6 channel Forza amplifiers. Mille Legend 3 way speakers were used in an active configuration for the front stage. Midbass drivers were mounted on acrylic plates in the factory location. We 3D printed pods for the dash that replace the factory grilles to hold the mid & tweeter. Mille Pro speakers were put in the new Raptor pods for the rear. Last but not least, a custom subwoofer enclosure was fabricated and secured to the tailgate housing a Hertz MPS300 shallow woofer. This Braptor now has an audio system to match the performance of the truck.
