Just did a HVAC box in a dodge a few weeks back. This is a time consuming job as dodge requires the entire dash assembly to be removed in one piece to get the box out, and can be a pain. There was no floor air and the air always came out of the defrost. This was because the blend air door was broke off, recirculating door was laying on top of the blower motor, and the floor door motor arm was snapped. We went ahead and replaced the heater core and evaporator while we were in there as dodge is notorious for heater cores failing. Nothing was wrong with them but for as cheap as they are why not save the labor and go ahead and do it now. Along with that we got all new blend doors and metal sockets for the actuator motors. That will help them not break in the future and extend the life of the door. Was a fun job to do and learned a lot about heat and a/c systems in the process. Best part is for how cold it is right now there is floor heat and air comes out of all vents as it should!
