This is a cabin air filter. If our service department recommends a change in a cabin air filter, please do that. They are fairly inexpensive to change and affects the air you breathe in your vehicle. Cabin air filters should be changed every 15,000-30,000 miles. If you are a smoker or have a pet, this is something you will want to change more often.

A plugged cabin air filter will do the following:

✔️Unpleasant, sometimes musty smells.
✔️Visible debris entering the cabin.
✔️Ineffective or less effective heating, cooling, defrosting, or defogging.
✔️Increased noise from an overtaxed blower motor.
