π¨ HISTORY MADE AT GRIDLIFE ROAD ATLANTA! π¨
CRP Racing is bringing home some serious hardware! We are beyond pumped to announce that at just 16 years old, Aryton Grim has officially become the youngest driver in GLTC history to stand on the podium, taking home a hard-fought 3rd place overall in his 2006 Mazda MX-5. π₯
The weekend tested the entire team. After battling severe ABS lock-ups in Race 1, Aryton put his head down for Race 2, throwing down the 3rd fastest lap to secure a crucial starting spot for the next round. Race 3 was an absolute dogfight and the highlight of the weekend. Starting P3, it was clear we were down on straight-line speed compared to the leaders. But Aryton wrung every last ounce of grip out of the MX-5, battling door-to-door with seasoned series veterans to cross the finish line and secure P3. He kept that momentum rolling into Race 4, launching straight into the lead on Lap 1! While the horsepower deficit meant he couldn't hold the top spot forever, he drove a brilliantly defensive race to bring it home in P2.
In Rush SR: Wasn't the weekend we wanted, just can't seem to find the pace as everyone else in the car, but Aryton finished out the weekend P8/53.
Blake Korth has been on a tear over the last two Gridlife weekends! π
After a dominant debut in his new CRP Mazda, where he grabbed a Race 4 win and finished P4 overall out of 35 drivers, Blake switched things up this weekend in his Porsche. He ran a flawless, issue-free event, showing great pace to finish P10 out of 39 entries.
Blake is currently sitting P3 in points & Aryton is currently sitting P6.
Next up: 30 days will be Gingerman Raceway at the Gridlife event with both drivers in their Mazda's!!!!
