🏁 🏁DOUBLE-UP WINS AT BATTLE OF THRONES AT US 131 FOR BENNETT POWER

What a weekend for Bennett Racing Engines customers at the Battle of Thrones at US 131 in Michigan!

In X275, Bennett power showed up strong in qualifying:

Davey Hull qualified #1 with a 4.10 @ 177 mph
Hailey Hawes qualified #3 with a 4.12 @ 176 mph
Stephen Barnett qualified #7 with a 4.18 @ 170 mph

By the semifinals, three Bennett-powered cars remained: Davey Hull, Hailey Hawes, and Stephen Barnett. In a great Bennett-powered matchup, Barnett edged out Hawes on the tree in a close race, 4.13 to 4.13.

That set up an all-Bennett-powered final, where Davey Hull 🏆came out on top with a 4.05 @ 175 mph over Stephen Barnett’s 4.11 @ 170 mph in the Ryan Racing Mustang. Shoutout to Justin McChesney🐾 on a great tuning performance!

Congratulations to Davey, Stephen, Hailey, their teams, and tuners on an outstanding weekend. Thank you for allowing Bennett Racing Engines to be part of your programs.

This was an extremely fast field!

Our Bennett Racing Engines/KBX nitrous-powered shop car had a great weekend, but a wheel stand ended our weekend early.

In the end, Martin Connelley🏆drove the Glockner Racing IROC to the winner’s circle with a 4.42 @ 161 mph blast in the final!

Huge congratulations to Martin Connelley, Glockner Racing, Tin Soldiers Race Cars, and Jason Waterman on an outstanding weekend and a job well done. Also, a big shoutout to Connelley Racing for the dedication and work they put into this car and all of their customers. Thought this would be a good chance to show we try and do our best with every customer big or small! Today we received some great feedback from a customer out in Arizona. Ramon Ibarra

Ramon bought a sportsman shortblock a year or 2 back. Then bought camshaft and a set of our highports. Basically piecing his engine together a little at a time. X275 WORLD RECORD! 🔥

Davey Hull reset the X275 world record with a 4.02 @ 178 mph at Battle of Thrones at US 60 Dragway!

What a huge weekend for our customers!

Congratulations to Davey Hull and Hull Racing on becoming the new X275 world record holders in Davey’s Bennett-powered Mustang. We are honored to be a part of this program and proud to see the hard work pay off at this level.

“Seems like yesterday we powered the first car to break the 4.40 barrier in X275 and now, here we are at 4.02. That speaks volumes about the evolution of this class, but more importantly, it’s a testament to the hard work behind our engine development, the advancements from our vendor partners, and the drive and commitment of our customer teams.” -John Kolivas

Davey’s 4.02 put him in the #1 qualifying spot, with several more Bennett-powered entries right behind him:

#3 Ian Hill -4.06 @ 176 mph
#4 Stephen Barnett/Terry Ryan Racing 4.07 @ 175 mph
#9 Alan Felts -4.18 @ 172 mph

Notably Ian Hill held the record for a short time with his 4.06 blast made prior to Davey's run!

Davey went on to finish runner-up in X275.

These cars represent four different Bennett turbocharged engine combinations:

• 400X with SC2 heads
• 400X with SC1 heads
• 400U with Bennett TFS Hi Port 285RX heads
• 500X with SC2 heads

In Ultra Street, Joel Greathouse piloted the Hull Racing entry to the #2 qualifying spot with a 4.39 @ 161 mph. Joe Glockner followed at #5 with a new personal best of 4.40 @ 161 mph, with both cars running turbocharged versions of our 400U engine program.

Shawn Pevlor also qualified #8 in the Bennett/KBX shop car with a 4.43 in the nitrous 450U-powered entry going an unbelievable class record .993 60 ft time!

Greathouse and Glockner both advanced to the semifinals, with each fighting through transbrake gremlins.

Bennett/KBX’s new WHITE shop car lays down a 4.43 at the Bama Outlaws race with our 450U nitrous engine with a plate system 💥

Bennett Racing Engines & KBX earlier this year debuted the new “WHITE” shop car in Ultra Street. Like our previous “GREEN” car, this platform is dedicated to real-world track testing of our engine designs and components, allowing us to deliver a truly dialed-in TOTAL PACKAGE for our customers, built to perform and compete right out of the gate.

We kicked things off with one of our proven 450U engine combinations:
• Dart Iron Eagle block
• 4.25 stroke Callies Magnum crankshaft
• Callies Enforcer billet rods + Diamond Pistons
• Bennett custom 55mm camshaft
• Jesel .905 tie-bar lifters
• Jesel belt drive
• Stef’s 2-piece oil pan (exclusive design)

“We are evolving the 450U nitrous combination. The data we’re gathering here will carry into all of our nitrous engine programs. The focus is simple-handle more nitrous, make more power, and live round after round. So far, the results are promising.

Our GREEN shop car helped us build strong nitrous packages for customers. With nitrous still a major part of what we do, it was time to push development even further.

We changed nearly everything: engine design, header design, gearing, transmission, and nitrous system. We chased our tails on this setup for a couple of months. We finally got some fine tuning ironed out and went 4.43 at Bama Outlaws. The next passes were on pace to be quicker if not for a wheelstand. Goal is high 4.30s next race.” – John Kolivas

Big congratulations to several standout performers from the Bama Outlaws Ultra Street class this weekend.

Joe Glockner qualified No. 3 with a 4.42 and a new personal best in his Bennett-powered Camaro, featuring our 400U turbo engine platform.

Joel Greathouse, driving the Hull Racing Mustang with our turbo 400U platform, qualified No. 4 with a 4.43 and came up just short in a hard-fought semifinal round against eventual race winner Ronnie Rhodes.

Congratulations to the Rhodes team on a great victory.

Shawn Pevlor qualified No. 5 in the new Bennett Racing Engines/KBX white shop car, laying down a strong 4.43 with our 450U nitrous engine with a plate system.

Rodney Ragen qualified No. 8 with a 4.45 in his turbocharged Mustang powered by our 400U engine platform.

And finally, Troy Perez Jr. rounded out the group with a 4.49 in his Mustang, formerly our green shop car powered by our 400U turbo engine.

Congratulations to everyone on a great weekend of performances. It was especially good to see Joe Glockner come out and put a strong number on the board in the Ford-powered Camaro.

What a weekend at Alabama Outlaws in X275 for BENNETT POWER

Huge congratulations to Davey Hull on the X275 WIN and an impressive 4.07 pass. Outstanding performance and a well-earned victory.

Congratulations as well to Stephen Barnett / Terry Ryan Racing on their Runner-Up finish while also laying down a new personal best of 4.06.
