Our dedication to continued education and excellence is reflected in our OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) certifications with Nissan, INFINITI, General Motors (GM), Kia, Hyundai, Dodge, Jeep, Chrysler, and Ram.

In addition to our manufacturer certifications, we have achieved I-CAR Gold Class recognition, demonstrating our commitment to ongoing industry training and professional development. Our technical qualifications also include steel GMA (MIG) welding certification and steel sectioning certification, supporting our commitment to proper repair procedures and vehicle structural integrity.

Do you know what Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) are?

If you don’t, you’re not alone! Many drivers aren’t aware of how many safety systems are built into today’s vehicles—or that these systems may require calibration after certain types of repairs.

ADAS refers to the cameras, sensors, radar, and other technology designed to assist you while driving and help keep you, your passengers, and other motorists safe.

These systems can include:

• Adaptive Cruise Control – Adjusts your vehicle’s speed to help maintain a safe following distance from the vehicle ahead.

• Around-View Monitoring – Provides a 360-degree or “bird’s-eye” view to assist with parking and low-speed maneuvers.

• Rear Collision Warning – Alerts the driver when another vehicle is approaching too closely from behind.

• Lane Departure Warning – Warns the driver when the vehicle unintentionally begins drifting from its lane.

• Automated Parking Assist – Uses audible, visual, or haptic warnings to help detect obstacles during low-speed parking maneuvers.

• LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) – Uses light-based technology to detect objects around the vehicle and help create a three-dimensional map of the surrounding environment.

• Night Vision Systems – Help improve visibility in darkness and certain poor-weather conditions.

• Blind Spot Detection – Alerts the driver when another vehicle is detected in a blind spot.

• Pedestrian Detection – Helps identify pedestrians in or near the vehicle’s path and can alert the driver.

• Traffic Sign Recognition – Identifies certain traffic signs and displays the information to the driver.

WHEN IS ADAS CALIBRATION NEEDED?

Calibration may be required following a variety of repairs or changes to your vehicle, including:

✔️ Collision damage—even what may appear to be a minor collision
✔️ Collision repairs
✔️ Windshield replacement
✔️ Side mirror replacement
✔️ Replacement of sensors or sensor mounting brackets
✔️ Suspension repairs
✔️ Wheel alignment
✔️ Changes in ride height
✔️ Changes in tire or wheel size
✔️ Front airbag deployment
✔️ When diagnostic trouble codes or ADAS-related faults are present
✔️ Other repairs that may affect the positioning or operation of these safety systems

Even if your vehicle looks perfectly repaired, its safety systems may not be functioning correctly if the sensors and cameras are not properly calibrated.

🌟🌟🌟Know Your Rights When Choosing a Collision Repair Shop🌟🌟🌟

It has come to our attention—again—that some insurance companies are directing customers toward their “Preferred Shops,” “Network Shops,” or “Direct Repair Shops.”

As the vehicle owner, you have the right to choose where your vehicle is repaired. You should never feel pressured or led to believe that you are required to use an insurance company’s preferred repair facility.

Your insurance company does not own your vehicle, and their preferred-shop program does not mean you are required to have your vehicle repaired there.

We often hear, “But they told me I would get a lifetime guarantee if I use their shop.” It is important to understand that a warranty or guarantee offered through a particular repair facility is separate from your right to choose where your vehicle is repaired. At Davis Body Shop, we stand behind our work with a lifetime warranty, and we are committed to addressing any concerns our customers may have about their repairs.

Insurance companies may have agreements with certain repair facilities regarding how repairs are handled. However, you are the customer, and you have a choice in where you entrust your vehicle for repairs.
