[Do I pay my deductible to the body shop?]
It's one of the questions we hear most often, here's the simple answer:
Your deductible is the portion of your repair bill that you are responsible for paying. If your insurance company is covering your claim, you can opt for them to pay their portion directly to the repair shop and your deductible is due when you pick up your vehicle.

Example:
🚗Repair Cost: $5,000
🏦Insurance Pays: $4,500
💵Your Deductible: $500

Thats it! You don't pay your deductible to the insurance company. You pay it to the repair shop when your repairs are complete.

** Understanding the Parts on Your Estimate **
If you've ever compared estimates and wondered why they dont list the same parts, here's why:
There are generally three types of replacement parts that may be used during a collision repair.
🚗 OEM (Original Equipment Manufacurer): Made by the vehicle's manufacturer and designed specifically for your vehicle.
🔧 Aftermarket: Made by a company other than the manufacturer. These parts are designed to fit and function like the original ... sometimes, that is just simply not the case.
♻ Recycled (Used): Genuine manufacturer parts AND aftermarket parts removed from another vehicle that in most cases have been wrecked and come from a salvage yard.

Every repair is different and the type of part used often depends on your insurance policy, part availability and your vehicle's needs.

If you ever have questions about your estimate, don't hesitate to ask. We are always happy to explain it. That's what we are here for. 😁

At first glance, this vehicle looked like it only had bumper damage.

But once we removed the bumper ... look below to see what was hiding underneath.

Hidden damage is one of the biggest reasons repair costs change after teardown. Insurance companies write initial estimates based on what they can see but they can't estimate damage that's hidden behind panels.

Our job is to uncover that damage, document it and make sure your vehicle is repaired safely and correctly.

Because "good enough," isnt good enough when it comes to protecting you and your family. ❤
