Fall is here, and winter won’t be far behind.

If you’ve been putting off getting the car looked over, now’s a good time to do it.

We can check the battery, tires, brakes, wipers, heat, defroster and lights and make sure everything is ready before the cold weather really sets in.

The first cold snap usually finds the weak batteries and other little problems pretty quick, and that’s when everyone starts calling at once.

We’re also scheduling October, November and December state inspections now.

⛽ Gas prices are high enough already.

Make sure your car isn’t working harder than it has to.

Three things worth keeping an eye on:

Engine air filter — this one came out of a vehicle recently. A filter this dirty can restrict airflow and hurt engine performance.

Tires — proper inflation and tires in good condition help keep rolling resistance down and prevent unnecessary fuel use.

Alignment — poor alignment can make the tires scrub against the road instead of rolling freely, while also wearing them out faster.

You can’t control the price at the pump, but you can make sure your vehicle is maintained properly and operating as efficiently as possible.

🚨 Honda Owners: Take 30 Seconds to Check Your Wheels

We had a customer stop by last week for an odd noise. We noticed one of her wheels was dangerously loose.

She had no idea.

After inspecting it, it appeared someone had likely attempted to steal the wheel, removed or loosened several lug nuts, and was interrupted before they could finish. Unfortunately, they left the wheel loose, creating a serious safety hazard.

For those wondering, wheels do not periodically come loose on their own, and this vehicle had not been in any repair shop recently for tire or wheel service. That makes an attempted theft the most likely explanation.

If you own a Honda—especially if it's parked outside overnight—it's worth taking a quick walk around your vehicle every now and then. Look for:

Missing lug nuts
Wheel locks that have been tampered with
Wheels that don't look seated properly
Any unusual vibration or clunking while driving

If something doesn't seem right, don't ignore it. Stop by and we'll gladly give it a quick inspection. It only takes a few minutes, and it could prevent a wheel from coming off while you're driving.
