Thank you to everyone that came in, today! I'm sure it's been as inconvenient on others as it was us to have been closed for a few days. One thing I can say, though, I am thankful. I am thankful for the opportunity to run this business that our small community has relied on for years. I'm thankful to my family for supporting me through this venture. I'm thankful to my tire techs for showing up when I need them most (often after finishing jobs on a Lobster boat or dealing with stuff I'm still learning). And I'm thankful for all of you, because without you, there would be no North Star Tire (or Timkin as many will always call it and remember it fondly as).

Have a Happy Thanksgiving, and we will be back at it Friday, 8-4p & Saturday 8-12p!

I'm sorry to announce that for the next couple of days we will have to be closed due to an electrical issue until it can be sorted. I hope to reopen by Wednesday so we can still service customers around the Thanksgiving holiday. You all are important to us, and I appreciate your understanding.

Today, I got a call from a gentleman who was in yesterday to get his tire patched after the boys found a piece of metal lodged in it. His tire was dead flat again, but he has limited mobility and asked if I'd be able to get his vehicle for him. Absolutely! We got air in the tire and I carefully drove it to the shop. Unfortunately we discovered that underneath a large amount of rust, his rim was severely cracked. I let him know what was going on and we went to get his full sized spare in the meantime. I'd love to help this man as he was very kind and our community is all about looking out for one another. If you happen have or be able to obtain a 17" rim for an '05 Dodge Durango, I'd really appreciate it! He only uses the vehicle to go to the store and post office, and it seems to have a whole host of other issues, but he can't go anywhere without proper wheels.
