Shower and thunderstorm chances increase later today and tonight, with the greatest chances along and south of Interstate 15. The primary hazard will shift from gusty outflow winds in the afternoon to locally heavy rain and flash flooding overnight and tomorrow, with the greatest rainfall totals in northwestern Arizona. South winds between 20 and 30 mph develop in the afternoon and evening, which can create waves of 1 to 3 feet on Lake Mead. Expect temperatures to be 5 to 10 degrees cooler today compared to yesterday.
