A true collector’s dream.

This 1997 AA Yellow NAS Defender 90 Soft Top has just 5,500 original miles. We originally acquired and sold this incredible Defender a few years ago when it had only 4,000 miles. Now, with just 1,500 additional miles, it remains in truly remarkable, time-capsule condition.

Finding an NAS Defender this original, this well-preserved, and with mileage this low is nearly impossible. Opportunities to own one like this are exceptionally rare and they don’t come around often.

We built this 1995 Defender 90 for the second annual North American series event in April. This month we did an automatic transmission swamp to make it more driver friendly for the new owner. We were able to complete the automatic transmission conversion in less than two weeks. If you’re ever looking to do an automatic transmission swap, we can perform it.

1994 Portofino Red NAS Defender 90 soft top. One owner with only 15,000 miles! Completely rust free Arizona example. Loaded with every option available in ‘94 (brush guard, side steps, rear, lamp, guards, air-conditioning, full roll cage, etc… Completely stock down to the Tickford soft top, stereo, speakers, tires, original owners manual, and key sets (with dog tags). You won’t find a nicer, more original, low mileage example. Offered at $124,999.

One of the more unique accessories Land Rover offered for the North American market was the removable fiberglass hardtop.

Designed as a six-piece system, it fit around the exterior safety roll cage, bolted to the belt rails, and worked seamlessly with the swing-away tailgate. It featured gas struts for the upper liftgate, one-piece molded weatherstripping, and seven pieces of glass that provided excellent visibility. Every top was finished in gray and engineered specifically for NAS Defenders.

Were they quieter? Not really. Were they completely watertight? Also not really. But they did provide better insulation, helping keep the cabin cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter.
