Fall colors, clear skies and back roads. The gettin’ is good in the PNW.

10/01/2026

Hood River is our home. A big reason why is the community of businesses that make this town what it is.

Last month we had the pleasure of collaborating with SUSTAIN HOME for First Friday. If you haven’t been to their showroom, go. Seriously. They carry goods you won’t find through typical van suppliers. Genuine PNW aesthetic.
The kind of pieces that will make a van interior feel like a personal haven.

And a standing shout out to Doug's Hood River. Wind, snow, skate, and all the toys our vans are built to carry. We’re grateful for their ongoing support of the VLC.

Do yourself a favor and go say hi to our friends.

How do we improve our designs? We listen.

Always trust the build crew.

Yep, vans are our bread and butter at The VLC, but we work on trucks, overland rigs, camp trailers and RVs too. We’ll take a look at any HVAC, electrical, or water system commonly used in the RV industry.

This 2018 F-350 Super Duty 4x4 is in our consignment inventory. It’s the perfect foundation for a rowdy off-road conversion, and we have the team to turn this flatbed into a backcountry palace.

Drop us a line if you’re dreaming big.

It’s been a big event season for us this summer, and we’re closing it out with style in California.

Join us at Adventure Van Expos and Vehicles at Palisades Tahoe this weekend. We’ll have our vans on display and a full VLC crew on hand.

Saving the best for last. See you in Tahoe. ❄️

What happens when interior designers get their hands on a VLC-built van?

We’re about to find out.

Tomorrow night The Vanlife Collective will be parked outside Sustain Home in downtown Hood River for the final First Friday of the season. Their team is staging out the interior of one of our rigs, and we’re genuinely excited to see what they come up with.

If you’ve never been to Sustain, you’re missing out. They do an excellent job of capturing PNW aesthetics, and their design language really resonates with our team. We’re always on the lookout for ways to elevate the look and feel of our vans, and we’re honored by the chance to connect with and learn from the creative minds at Sustain.

This month’s First Friday is also celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month. Expect good food, good drinks, and good people. Come tour the van, shop Sustain’s showroom, grab a Lyle Style margarita and some Tropicali street corn. See you tomorrow!

🗓️Friday, September 4
🕑5-8pm
📍Sustain Home: 215 1st St, Hood River, OR 97031

Heads up! 🔥🔥🔥

The Backcountry Offroad Expo in Sisters is switching venues. Due to the wildfire situation in Central Oregon, the event is relocating from Sisters to La Pine.

Fire conditions are extra spicy right now. Kudos to the event organizers for their quick thinking and keeping the show going. We are looking forward to a great weekend!

Find us at the La Pine Rodeo Grounds this Saturday and Sunday, August 1-2. We’ll have vans on display and the full VLC crew on hand. Plus, we have something extra planned for Saturday night.

See you in La Pine!

Nothing beats hearing from a happy client out in the field.

“Squee” the Transit Van has been busy.

This is why we do it.

See you out there.
