🚨 Illusion Auto Has a New Home! 🚨

We've grown, evolved, and taken some exciting steps forward!

While this page has been part of our journey, we felt it no longer represented who we are today or the quality of work we're committed to delivering. So, we decided it was time for a fresh start.

We've officially rebranded as Illusion Automotive, expanded our licensing, moved into a new facility, and upgraded our equipment, including a new paint booth, to continue raising the standard of our work.

Same passion. Bigger vision. Higher standards.

We'd love for everyone who has supported us along the way to join us on our new page!

Thank you for being part of our journey. We're just getting started! 🔥

From faded candy red to a mirror dark gray metallic finish.

This ’72 Chevelle came in needing much more than a quick repaint. Body work, rust repair, glass removal, full color change, stripes, clear, and the finishing work needed to bring the whole car together.

Here’s a little clip of the paint progress. It’s not even back together yet, and the transformation is already huge.

If you’re thinking about changing the entire look of your classic, we can handle the job from teardown to final assembly.

Same truck. Completely different presence.

Our shop truck is a perfect example of what an Illusion Auto Appearance Package can do. We didn’t want a bunch of random modifications; we wanted everything to look like it belonged together.

From the custom-matched black and red finishes to the badges, trim, wheels and other details, every part was chosen, prepped and finished to complement the overall look of the truck. That attention to detail is what separates a clean build with quality materials from something that just looks modified.

And that’s exactly what we can do for yours.

Whether you want a subtle OEM+ look, a full blackout, custom color trim, wheels color matched, debadging, or something completely your own, we’ll help design the package and execute it the right way.

You don’t have to know exactly what you want before you come to us. Bring us your truck and an idea and we’ll help you figure out the rest.

Want to change the way your truck looks without doing a full build? Ask us about our Appearance Packages.

Paint can last a long time—but only if what’s underneath it is solid.

When a vehicle has multiple layers of old paint, primer, filler, or unknown coatings, sometimes the best move is to strip it back and see what’s really there. Chemical paint st****er helps remove heavy coating buildup without creating excessive heat or grinding away good metal. Mechanical abrasion still has its place for cleaning the surface, feathering edges, and creating the proper profile for new materials to bond.

A finish is only as good as the foundation underneath it. That’s why we don’t just cover problems—we uncover them and fix them properly.

Hidden rust is one of the biggest challenges in classic-car restoration.

A car can look solid from the outside while corrosion is spreading behind panels, under seam sealer, inside the cowl or beneath old repairs. You usually do not know the full extent until the car is torn down.

That is why proper restoration goes beyond sanding and paint. The rust has to be exposed, removed and repaired correctly—or it will eventually come right back through the finished product.

What is underneath matters just as much as what everyone sees.

We loved the color scheme on the wheels for the F250. They set the tone, and we decided the rest of the truck needed to follow suit.

That black and red color scheme became the inspiration for the entire appearance package—from the badges and trim to every small detail we added. But nothing came straight out of a can. We custom matched and tweaked both colors until everything worked together and looked right against the wheels.

It’s the little details, patience and expertise that turn a project into a complete build.

In 50 years, somebody might open a barn and find your classic.

Nobody dreams about finding an economy car under a dusty tarp.

They dream about chrome, big engines, loud exhaust and cars built with actual personality. Bring your classic to us and let’s make sure it’s still turning heads 50 years from now.

Make sure they find something worth getting excited about, not a pile of rust and unfinished promises.

Bring it to us, and let’s preserve it the right way.

The Kia can stay outside.

Mobile services now available!

Our one of a kind mobile restoration trailer is coming together, and we’re diligently working to build it out into a fully equipped mechanic and paint shop on wheels.

Once complete, we’ll be able to handle mobile restoration work, mechanical repairs, electronics and lighting, paint and body work, and more—whether it’s at our shop or wherever the project needs us to be.

No matter where your project is, we’re building the tools and capabilities to help build your dream.

A lot of people think restoration is just paint.

The truth is, paint is only one part of what we do.

This ’69 Camaro is getting power seats retrofitted with custom-fabricated brackets, a complete wiring harness, upgraded audio, a Vintage Air A/C system, and a Holley ECU. Then comes the hard part—making all of those systems work together like they belonged there from the factory (and we have much more to go).

Building a car like this and taking it into the modern age takes fabrication, electrical knowledge, mechanical knowledge, problem-solving, and attention to every detail. That’s what separates a true restoration and custom shop from a body shop.

Every finished car is thousands of decisions, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
