Here’s an amazing product for 01-16’ Duramax owners, especially the guys who pull heavy. We are retrofitting late model duramax engines with new model engine oil coolers.

The new model oil cooler is actually much cheaper in cost than a replacement for the late model engines. The much thicker oil cooler will generally support 40% better cooling capacity, is a DIRECT fit and is all brand new OEM GM components. Give us a shout with any questions or concerns!

Driven to the Dakotas over 1600 miles, this South Carolina “dwelling” 150k mile 1999 7.3 powerstroke experienced a rough idle before returning home. We were able to hook up to the engine computer, diagnose the fault and get repairs rolling quickly. After replacement of some internal wiring harnesses, this one returned back to service with a nice quick turn around. Downtime is a killer in any industry, it’s great being able to make a difference and work with a wide variety of customers!

Here we have a very good upgrade for any diesel pickup owner. We highly recommend an aftermarket lift pump to help support your diesel engine. These pumps CAN do well on the high performance side of things but perform best while pulling heavy, working or daily driving.

The pump shown is very easy to service and the Air Dog brand filters will often cross to more popular models such as Donaldson, Baldwin or CAT.

This specific unit will circulate 100 gallons of fuel per hour. During this circulation, the fuel is being cooled drastically, then filtered free of water, contaminants and (you guessed it) air. These three items can be a killer of any diesel fuel system, knocking down engine performance big time. Feel free to shoot us a message or stop by the shop for more information!

There’s nothing wrong with adding some heavy equipment to the mix. We pushed two Yanmar mini excavators and a Vermeer vac trailer through the shop this week. All of this equipment is owned and operated by companies working/staying in Huron for up to 8 more months. These crews are working on installing fiber optic cable underground for utility and communication purposes.

If we have the equipment, tooling or knowledge, we will surely do what we can to help you avoid costly down time. We hope all of our followers and customers stayed cool this week!

If you’re a dodge/ram fan you’ve surely heard about the problematic transmission issues whether the 68rfe or the AISIN models. This 12’ 3500 received the “problem solver” as we like to call it. This in-house-reconditioned 6.7 Cummins is mated to an Allison 6 speed with a billet triple disc converter, rated at 800 horse with a lifetime warranty.

The engine was put together from the block up using all new using Cummins components along with Mahle Motorsports, ARP, Fleece Performance, Smeding Diesel and many others.

We tried for weeks to source a factory replacement Aisin AS68 with no luck. After hours of research, we decided an Allison conversion was the way to go. The new transmission will run a completely standalone electrical system. This setup was put together using the best parts with reliability in mind. At the end of the day, this customer will likely never have to touch this transmission again besides routine servicing. Give us a call or send us a message for more info!

The first gen dodge pickups always have a special place at our shop! This one is a frequent visitor for upgrades and general repairs. This go around we decided to wake up the 160 factory horse 5.9 by installing a modified VE injection pump and 60 horsepower injection nozzles. The 5 speed transmission/clutch holds the added torque just fine & it drives MUCH better.

While performing upgrades, we also re-sealed the fuel priming pump, timing cover, replaced the water pump, harmonic balancer, repaired the factory A/C & updated some engine wiring for reliability.

This 1994 Chevy with the famous 6.5 diesel was finished up today to end the busy week. This one received a transmission and t-case overhaul from Dale's A-1 Transmission. We also took care of some exhaust leaks, coolant leaks and wiring issues. The customer mentioned that they don’t remember the last time the air conditioning worked properly. We worked some magic to keep this customer MUCH cooler as shown in the pictures below.

Had an opportunity to work on a pretty sweet rig this evening. Here we have “Optimus” as the license plates say. This unit is hard to miss due to the big lift kit and 40” tires. The customer mainly uses this pickup as a daily driver and to tow his fast cars around. We were able to give this one a quick “tune up” to make sure the engine was performing efficiently.

This very clean LML Duramax came in for an intermittent fuel leak. The engine would only leak fuel while under load and pulling a camper. It was difficult to locate this leak initially, so we installed UV dye to the fuel system and inspected with a UV light. We were able to pinpoint the leak and get it taken care of with OEM parts. We are very thankful for all of the business we've received and customers we have worked with. Stay cool today, it's going to be a hot one!
