While my shop has always been my sanctuary from the real world, COVID-19 has helped me realize the direction I want to take the business. While I love working on motorcycles, I really enjoy building customs, and custom parts. After 2 moves and 2 years out of the shop, I’m ready to get back to it. I’m currently looking for an artist or tattoo artist that focuses on traditional/old school design to help me re-brand and help bring some of these ideas out of my head. If you know any in the Indianapolis area that would be interested, let me know.

So it's been a while since I've posted. After the dismal failure that was the first crowdfunding attempt, I needed to step back, collect myself and refocus. That, followed by the end of a long term relationship kinda pushed every plan I had out of my mind. Some of you may notice that I even stepped away from facebook for a while. But that's all behind me, and I've got a new plan.

Step 1: My first product, The Midwest Surfboard brat/cafe hybrid seat is available for custom order in fiberglass, carbon fiber, or carbon/kevlar. Contact me for pricing and lead times. Photos of the product in fiber will be available by the end of the week, as my prototyping and test phase is ending.

Step 2: My aluminum polishing services are fully operational. Again, contact me for pricing as price will depend on condition of the aluminum part received. Again, I'll have pictures up soon.

Step 3: As soon as I figure out the coding, I plan to start a website to begin offering t-shirts, parts and other services. This one may take a little bit, but it will be coming. In the meantime, once I figure out which crowdfunding source I want to use, I'll be posting it up.

Finally, the best way to stay up to date with what is going on with Gunslinger is to follow us on Instagram: . I tend to do more with instagram because I can get in and out before without having to put much thought into, meaning I can post in the middle of working which is what I usually do.

Stock parts that will not be used on project bikes. We try to use the best donor bikes we can for our projects, which leaves us with a lot of decent parts that can be used on restoration projects that need them. We do this for the love of the collectors. We will try to remove these items as they sell.

There is nothing worse than insomnia when you WANT to sleep. Oh well, gave me a chance to look up some repro graphics...but guess what, NOBODY makes KZ650C graphics in gold...So I finally came up with a color scheme.

I've always been a huge fan of motoGP, and those guys in the late 70's and early 80's are the ones that really got me to notice motorcycles. So I've decided to do my own spin on an old classic. The Gulf factory racer. But I think I can improve it. First, I'll find a lighter, pearlescent orange, through some pearl into that blue, and run some champion white pearl stripes down the sides of the orange. Don't worry, I'm not using one of those dated tails...Mine is lower profile and sleeker. Also, I'll have more polished pieces than this one does, and the headlight bucket will stay black.

I've begun polishing some of the aluminum parts. I polished the carb tops and breather covers. Still need to do the valve cover and all four engine covers. Then on to electrical. The harness is still in good shape, but some of the connectors are corroded and dry rotted.

More than a couple new followers this week. Sometimes, progress isn't so much what you get done, but what you plan and set in motion. This week I've got a carbs sitting in berryman's a bunch of bolts sitting in rust remover, and my exhaust ready to go to the chromer wooing with a few other parts. Sadly, I've spent more time this week researching dry rotted parts that have been crumbling in my hands and deciding what preventative parts replacements I want to tackle. I'm slogging along, but it's coming together. Cams are about to go in and tank will be de-rusted and cleaned soon,Engine is clean now, and I'be got my seat pan drawn for trimming. Stay tuned all

I traded the airbox, carb boots and retention springs for these cone filters. They're brand new and not so much as a fingerprint on them. I'll be coupling them with kz750 cams and jetted carbs. I like dealing with other motorcycle enthusiasts because they can see your vision and will help you achieve if they can. Hopefully the gentleman I made the trade with is just as happy when his package arrives Friday.

Getting a start on the KZ650. So far the plan is to drop 2" and stretch it 3", change over to Daytona bars, add a few other touches before paint and make it a Brat-cafe.
