The engine is out.

Our 2003 Porsche 911 Turbo X50 has reached a major stage in this year’s Restoration Preservation Challenge. With the engine and transmission removed, our technicians can begin a closer inspection and determine exactly what this Hurricane Katrina survivor needs next.

Sometimes a project uncovers more than you expect.

In Part 2 of our Restoration Preservation Challenge, we discovered the factory amplifier had been bypassed during a previous aftermarket radio installation. To test the new Porsche PCCM+, we borrowed an amp to confirm everything worked, and now we've ordered the correct factory replacement so the project can move forward the right way.

Sometimes the install isn’t the hard part… it’s fixing what someone else did first.

To test the new PCCM+, we had to borrow an amplifier after discovering the factory amp had been bypassed by a previous aftermarket installation. Now we’ve ordered the correct amp so we can keep moving forward.

This is what the Restoration Preservation Challenge is all about—solving problems the right way.
