The crap I deal with

Please view the screen-shotted images of a conversation between I, James and a “potential” customer

1st: If I told him “all” the things that he “already” knew, then he should know why the CRV is way over KBB value. To not waste anyone’s time, in a nutshell… we all know how we feel about “know-it-alls”

2nd: I did not know that stating facts such as, what I can sell them for and what I have been offered, constitutes as complaining. I learned something new today.

3rd: Potential customer? Now that I think about it, he’s right. He was a “potential” customer. Just like all the countless others who would buy a car from me if I had always agreed to their price or whatever KBB value is. So that means that I am a potential customer when I go to say Harley Davidson, wanting to buy a bike that is priced at $10,000 but I desire to pay $5,000. Got it! Learned another new thing today.

4th: He’s right about that I should be addressing elders such as older men with proper pronouns such as Mr, Sir or “Your Majesty”

5th: “I should ask questions more.” And I could say things like, he should not assume that we are not true and non-reasoning un-professionals 🤷‍♂️

6th: Fuss about the economy?… Bro, I never mentioned anything about the economy. Sorry I didn’t mean to say Bro, I meant “Your Majesty”

7th: I do dislike car sales and one of the main reasons is because of “potential” customers like these

Last: “I’ll keep and eye on your ad.” And I’ll keep an eye on your Facebook profile which has countless posts about Christianity. You would think that Christian folks would be, well Christian like. Doesn’t Matthew 7:1-2 say

“Do not judge or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

Funny that I was judged as being an un-truthful dealer and an un-reasoning un-professional.

But then again, maybe he’s right.

To wrap this up, please don’t be like “potential” customers like this guy, sorry… like this “Sir” or else I might quit car sales and go work at Chick-fil-A.

PS: I do not condone any ill-will or hate to be directed to this individual. The only reason I have not blocked or blurred his name is because I am tired of anyone who makes their faith public only to act in this manner, therefore showing their true colors.

I will not respond to his final message as there is no point for me to do so.

I do understand that I may have handled this situation differently (but I do feel that I was polite and simply stated facts) and if anyone feels the need to provide me with proper feedback, then feel free to message through this post.

• Answering the phone in a professional manner

Story of the day: Do you ever get cursed out, right before Christmas?

The following person only contacted me via Facebook. I did not get a chance to respond to their messages. I have been blocked by them. They have never contacted me or anyone at the office via Phone or via in Person.

The reason the persons name is not blocked out by me, as I have done with others in the past, is because they have already left a review on our Google page which shows their name. Therefore, their review is public information as well as their name. I do Not and I am Not condoning any hate messages or the like be sent to this individual.

Anyone is free to leave us a negative review, but know that we too are free to respond to said review and most of the time the negative reviews that have been left are from people who are being disingenuous.

Story of the day: This is an “I can’t make this up.” type of story of the day

Someone messaged me about a vehicle on market place. I did not entirely understand the persons wording in their messages but I could at least understand what they were referring to.

What I don’t understand, is how someone can say to me not to lower the price of the car after I told them that I had been offered $5,500 for it, but then a couple of days later send me a message with an offer of $2,000 ………. 🤦‍♂️

Where to begin?I understand that anyone who is not in the automotive sales industry will find it illogical or incomprehe...

I understand that anyone who is not in the automotive sales industry will find it illogical or incomprehensible as to why a vehicle is priced over it’s estimated worth.

I would suggest you Google and find out.

The point I’m trying to make with this specific situation is…. Don’t play dumb and act like you don’t know the current car market and then say…. Oh I know

🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

- I’ve said this in the past (mainly to anyone who walks onto the lot) and I will say it time and time again……..

I hate selling cars, partly to due with interactions/exchanges with people.

If that’s not honesty, especially coming from a car lot, then I don’t know what is.

Story of the day: Do you ever feel like trading something in but not feel like giving much info about your trade and then assume/judge a dealership to be sketchy just because that dealership said they weren’t interested in your trade?

We really do not take trades. It’s rare whenever I say either Depends or Not really. In this case, I said not really and then proceeded to say what they wanted to trade in. I had a hunch that they weren’t going to be specific with their trade and indeed they were not. - As is nearly 100% of the time when they offer a trade.

I didn’t want to go any further so I just decided to say that I wasn’t interested in a Jeep.

By the persons response, you can already tell that they wanted an out from the get go.

I could say a ton about this situation, but again, showing you all the crap we deal with.

This individual, whose information I blurred out is a firefighter for a certain town in Hendricks County. The reason I say this is because it doesn’t matter what type of position one holds, at the end of the day… No matter how unfortunate it may be that one conducts themselves as this person did, just know that they do exist in every walk of life.
