Hot Rod Specialties, Indianapolis

Hot Rod Specialties, Indianapolis We are a full service hot rod shop dedicated to the restoration and customization of classic cars. Born in Detroit...Resurrected in Indianapolis.

We are a full service hot rod shop dedicated to high-end classic vehicles. Thank you for your interest in Hot Rod Specialties. We would like to take this opportunity to introduce ourselves and let you know more about the capabilities of our team. With over 100 years of combined experience our team specializes in everything from general maintenance, full nut & bolt restorations, pro-touring, resto

mods, custom interiors, chassis and suspension, paint and body, custom header and exhaust fabrication, and even full custom turn key builds. We treat each car that comes into our shop as if it were our own. We have all owned and restored our own muscle cars and hot rods. It is because of this, that we understand the things you are going through on your classic car and are here to help you every step of the way, no matter how big or how small. Every aspect of work is performed in house, from tear down, body and paint, interior, to perfect reassembly. The only thing we do not do in house is internal engine work, we feel that is is best to leave that to the people that specialize in that. Although, we have aligned ourselves and work closely with several high quality machine shops and engine builders and can make recommendations depending on your individual needs. Customer care and attention to detail shows when we are finished. You will be polishing your pride and joy for many years to come, so we want you to know without a doubt that we provided the highest level of craftsmanship possible. Whether it is a simple tune up, installing Vintage Air, custom fabrication, paint and body, a new interior, or a full restoration, we would be happy to help you with your next project. If you have any questions, please contact us at 317-802-7762.

We've been way behind on posting lately. We just brought back this 49 Ford to install the freshly built flathead back in it. You can see one of our young guns, Spencer working on it. He rocking his Fast Lane Auto Mentoring gear. If you've never heard of them, check them out. They are doing great things with young people interested in learning some hands on skills. We met Spencer through them and gave him a shot. He's been with us over a year and is learning and progressing quite well.

The flathead is sporting some heads and intake with 3 dueces. Can't wait to fire this thing up! I'm thinking the Flathead in my 50 ford may need some parts on it too!

Our good friends Dan and Lenny from the Twisted Foundation just gifted us this awesome skate deck for our help in their toy drive. We don't do it for recognition, we just do it to help the kids. But this an awesome gift and we are very appreciative of it. It's going to look awesome hanging in the showroom.
