Just because a vehicle drives well doesn't mean everything is okay.

This transmission came into the shop with no major drivability complaints, but a full system scan revealed multiple transmission DTCs. After further diagnosis, we inspected the transmission fluid and found it was loaded with metal—clear evidence of internal component failure.

The transmission was removed, completely disassembled, inspected, repaired where needed, and reassembled to restore reliable operation before a catastrophic failure left the customer stranded.

Modern vehicles don't always show obvious symptoms until it's too late. That's why proper diagnostics and verifying the condition of the vehicle are just as important as a test drive.

Every diagnosis tells a story, and sometimes we don't get to write the final chapter.

This Dodge Durango came to us with multiple diagnostic trouble codes and a complex 5-volt reference circuit fault. Electrical issues like these can be some of the most challenging to diagnose because a single wiring problem can create multiple seemingly unrelated symptoms.

After a systematic diagnostic process, we traced one of the faults to damaged wiring hidden beneath the oil cooler. Repairing that section eliminated the knock sensor faults and resolved one of the 5-volt reference issues.

Unfortunately, before we had the opportunity to continue tracing the remaining 5-volt reference fault, the customer made the decision to trade the vehicle in as-is. While we respect that decision, it's always a little disappointing not being able to see a challenging diagnosis through to completion.

Fleet work done right.
One of our fleet customers uses these box trucks every day for their business, so downtime is not an option. He reached out after the rear door on one of his trucks was damaged and needed it turned around in less than two days.
Once we got it in, we found:
both cables had snapped
the roll-up door spring had come unbound
the bottom panel was damaged
wheels were missing from the tracks
the door was so bad it could barely be lifted with two people
So we got to work.
We built a brand-new bottom panel, machined new axles and wheels for it, reinforced it with steel plates, rewound the spring, and made new cables.
The result? Even though it still needs paint, the door now goes up easily with one person, it’s stronger than before, and the customer is back on the road happy.
That’s a win in our book.
