Message from the President

I want to thank everyone for coming to the banquet last night and helping us celebrate the completion of the 2026 racing season.

Putting together a successful season takes a tremendous amount of hard work, dedication, and time from our staff and volunteers. As this was my first time hosting the banquet, I realized afterward that I had forgotten to recognize a couple of very important people who have played a huge role in keeping our track running.

First, I want to recognize Terri Kunz. Besides being a mom and grandma, Terri has taken on the job of running our entire MyLaps system, which is practically a full-time job in itself. Through it all, she still finds time to cheer on Dustin , Kristy, Brock, and Zack while continuing to work hard behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly. Her time and dedication mean more than words can express.

The second person I want to recognize is Clyde Hixson. A few years ago, Clyde showed up in the pits, spent some time with me, and eventually became one of my crew members. He grew to enjoy racing so much that he decided to start volunteering at the track this season. Since then, he has put in countless hours, often working a full 60-hour workweek at the track. Anytime someone stops by, there’s a good chance they’ll find Clyde, working on something to get the racetrack ready for the next event. That kind of dedication deserves to be recognized and appreciated.

I also want to take a moment to thank every volunteer, staff member, sponsor, and supporter who has given their time and effort to make our track what it is. A racetrack doesn’t run on its own. It takes a team of people who care about the sport, the racers, and the future of our racing community. I truly appreciate everything each of you does, whether it’s out in the open or behind the scenes.

Thank you all for being part of the 2026 season. I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished together, and I look forward to building on it.

Here’s to wrapping up the 2026 season and looking forward to an even better 2027 racing season!

It’s that time!!! Time to come together once more and celebrate what an epic season we had in the dirt. Also time for those top dawgs to reap the rewards of laying it out on the track. 🏆🏆🏆
We will be holding the Banquet at The Soldotna Sports Center.
🎟️Tickets available at the door. 🎟️
$10 for Big Kids (that’s you adults)
And $5 for the littles (arguably the best racers) 🤭

🍸🍹Cocktail hour is at 6pm. Dinner and awards starting at 7pm.
This will be a 🌮🌮Taco Bar🌮🌮 with a dessert station🍦🧁, so bring the Fiesta 🥳🍾🪅
