We were overwhelmed with the excitement and support from the community this week! We are thrilled to be Ketchum’s auto shop!

Ketchum Auto reopened as Pioneer Automotive on Monday, Oct. 19 following the completion of an acquisition by Wood River Valley native and owner of Pioneer Automotive, Tim Garza.

Big news for the Wood River Valley! Pioneer Automotive has acquired the business operations of Ketchum Auto. Our new headquarters at 360 East 10th Street opens Monday, October 19, alongside our Bell Drive shop. We’re growing from one indoor repair bay to five and welcoming Ketchum Auto’s employees to our team. Thank you to Ryan Dean and our community for supporting this next chapter. We had a traveler come in yesterday with an irreparable flat tire and another one slowly losing air. We decided to get a new set of tires and put his spare on so he could spend the night up in Stanley. He would come back in the morning when his tires got here.

By this afternoon, we were wondering where he was…no answer.

Moments later his wife calls. He’s in the hospital after an accident! He still needs to get the tires on though.

To make things easy we offered to do the job at the hospital, waiving our $65 mobile service fee.

One less thing to worry about so they can focus on healing!

Not all heroes wear capes! Sometimes they carry wrenches!

Tomorrow the Sun Valley Museum of Art is opening their Adam West exhibit with the West family. This gentleman, friend of the family, brought his bat van and bat copter in from Washington for the opening. Unfortunately the van got a fouled spark plug on its 12 hour journey. Pioneer Automotive to the rescue!
