Here is a lil somthing we have been doing for "many many" years now.
Actually, I learned this back when I was a Punk Kid at Holbrook Ent.
Thru out the many years we have done quite a few. (Lots)
Here is a 4 bolt main conversion on a Pontiac 455 ci.
Going into a leaver shifting old GTO.
Any conversion like this isn't cheep to do.
But finding an old 4 bolt main Pontiac wouldn't be easy also and sure not cheep.

Here's somthing I've been seeing now and then and also I get this question asked now and then.

Question should I buy a balanced assembly?
My answer is that is up to you and what are you going to end up with.
Who is really doing it and do they really care.
Are they actually balancing the parts? You are actually going to be using?
( most of the time nope )
Sometimes it is you get what you pay for.

Throughout the years, I have had to rebalance quite a few jobs, even when they purchased a Crate motor.
Myself I always like to find out why they have a vibration problem and where it is.

Just recently, I received a balanced assembly.
He bought the whole assembly from them and it was a complete Eagle Kit.
It seemed like they did use the ad advertised. Weight numbers. 
But did not check and equalize the parts.
(which we have been seeing some very expensive parts being way off)
Extremely way off!

1972 Chevelle BB Chevy 454
Suspension and break upgrades.
Coil over conversion suspension system.
Willwood braking system.
 lots of good (Great) parts.
Feeling blessed to be part of this project again.

This has been a intersting/Challenging /mind blowing/fun and exciting project.
So many up's and downs/Roller coaster rides to get things fixed and repaired.
But one very cool part of the project is that the customer wanted to be part of it all.
What a great guy.

I don't post here as much as I want to it's been a great year and feel so so blessed to be a part of so many cool projects.

Here is somthing I ran into last week that seemed very odd and shouldn't be this way.
It's a 1971 olds / 350 ci stock resized conn rods / Seal Power replacement pistons (which are heavier some) stock crankshaft / Power Bond Replacement dampner / PRW sfi Replacement flexplate.
We spun it and the back side was way way out like 140ish grams out and lite wanting heavy Metal and the ft. Was only 16 grams lite.
It's external balanced.
The end to end shouldn't be that far off with his combination.
I had the customer bring the original parts so I could test and check things and see where the problem is.
Just changing the flexplate to the original one brought it down to just 6 grams.
So new doesn't mean good.
Thank God he spent time to have the balance checked.
The same with the rattled some teeth.
I'm waiting on a high Dollar new replacement And curious where this one will be.

Here is the 3rd we have seen in the last 3 weeks now.
2 in a row.
Excessive Removal both ends.
+100 grams
Over 300 grams removal.
It adds hours also tooling.
I’m thinking there older 2nds
You get what you pay for so be careful.
