Awning light flickering? It's probably not a ghost.

Here's what's usually behind it:

A loose or corroded connection at the light or the switch. Moisture and road vibration work these loose over time.

Low battery voltage. If the flicker gets worse when other things are running, the battery may be the real issue.

A bad ground. One weak ground wire can make a light act up even when everything else looks fine.

An aging light. LEDs don't last forever, and a failing one often flickers before it quits.

Start with the connections. It's the easiest thing to check.

Halloween weekend is the biggest camping event of the fall. Is your camper ready?

Here's your checklist to get prepared for the festivities:

🎃 Decorations packed and tested at home, not at dusk when you get to the site.

🎃 Extra lighting, plus an extension cord long enough to reach.

🎃 Enough candy for a full loop of campground trick-or-treaters.

🎃 Chairs out front, so you can kick back and check out everyone else's setups.

🎃 Something warm for when things get chilly.

As the camping season comes to a close, it's important to prioritize the safety and functionality of your camper before putting it into storage for the winter months. One crucial area that often gets overlooked is the propane system.

Before you tuck away your beloved camper, take a moment to inspect the propane lines, connections, and appliances for any signs of wear or damage. Look for leaks, corrosion, or any other signs of trouble that could lead to issues on your next adventure. A little maintenance now can save you from potential headaches later!

Make sure everything is in working order so you can hit the road with peace of mind when camping season rolls around again! For more tips on RV camping and maintenance, check out our resources here: https://rivertown-rv.reliablereads.com/
