We want to give a BIG SHOUT OUT to our "Office Manager" who also fills many additional hats. Today is her 7 year anniversary with us! As many of you know she has been with us since before our fire. She has been a HUGE positive impact on our business. We would not be where we are today without her. She is the last person that gets recognition for her continued work but the first person that brings a smile to your face on the phone or when you walk through the front door. When we asked her, "What makes you keep coming back with a positive attitude?" Her response was, "The people and the employees. I love coming to work knowing I get to help someone, I take a lot of pride in what I do and everyday I try to learn something new. I enjoy the relationships I have and continue to make and as far as the employees go it's NEVER boring and I mean that on a good note. You have Jorden, our tire guy and he brings a whole unique personality all on his own and I have been there for him at his lowest and at his highest. I have watched this kid grow and its been amazing. Then there is Thomas, he is a very quiet but yet a VERY determined man that wants to learn and is willing to do so. I have given Thomas more responsibility like talking to the public and he is learning which brings a smile to my face watching him succeed. He is an outstanding alignment guy and is showing more and more potential with bigger mechanical jobs. Then there is Traves, our main mechanic, he's more simple. He likes to focus on his work but also plays a big role when I am gone. He plays a lot of different hats when I am out being a mom. Traves has a lot on his plate, he never knows what I am going to bring into the shop and send his way. Then finally there is the owner Randy, he has taught me more life skills then anyone in my life. He has made sure that, as a woman, if I were traveling in my vehicle and it were to break down what I should do and what to look for. He has taught me that hard work does pay off. I have watched him go out in blizzards to help someone's kid out of the ditch. I have watched him stay until 10:00 p.m. at night making sure a farmer gets up and going and come to work at 6 the next morning. Randy has never had "set business hours especially during harvest season." I have learned that when you own your own business and farmers are involved, relying on you, that an 8-5 doesn't work.
In all honesty I don't know why I keep coming back every day other than I Love my job, the people and the employees.... We asked Kristina, "Do you have any advice for someone that might want to get into customer service like you have?" She replied with, "Yes, relationships take time but never give up! Everyone is unique. It's not about the customer is always right it's about how can I improve or what can I take away from this experience. Don't take everything at heart, sometimes people have a bad day. I honestly don't have a solid rule I follow even after 7 years. I guess the closest would be, " The world has changed since I started 7 years ago and we must keep adapting." ...
We asked Kristina, " Are there any stories you have, pertaining to the business, that have followed you in 7 years?" Her response was, " Oh my lantus, not everyone knows the basics about tires, meaning how to put air into a tire nor what size of tire they have on only that they drive a blue van, Not everyone can multitask and my job requires ALOT of multitasking, do tires rotate themselves, can we do it for free-which I have asked our employees if they are willing to do something for free and sadly they have declined as they also have bills that need to be paid. I started working on my vehicle myself and now I can't get it running how much will that cost me to get it fixed..... Kristina said, "I have made ALOT of great memories and I hope to continue to do so. I have built relationships that have given me more life lessons then any textbook could.
Thank you for all of your hard work Kristina. 7 years is a big accomplishment, and your positive attitude is noticed.
