We have two ASE Master Mechanics and two ASE Certified Mechanics that will take care of your vehicles. We have a large number of fleets and we are experts at National and Government Accounts. We have a Service Truck available to assist our local agriculture community. MyCarVitals links your smart phone to Lakeport Tire & Auto Service. We can notify you with a single click for, personalized service recommendations from our service advisor, seasonal promotions, any updates on your vehicle health status and recall alerts to make sure your vehicle is taken care of and you know it! Next time you come in to have your vehicle serviced and repaired we will ask you for your email address. We will then email you an invitation to activate the loyalty points program. Help us to go paperless and get loyalty points for activating your vehicles account. Then you will receive loyalty points for referring friends and family and keeping up with your recommended maintenance on your vehicles that can be redeemed on future services. In the near future Lakeport Tire & Auto Service will have additional ways to redeem your loyalty points.

When temperatures soar, your engine has to work harder to stay cool. If your cooling system isn't performing properly, extreme heat can quickly turn into an expensive repair.

Here's how hot weather can affect your engine:

Your engine generates tremendous heat on its own. Add triple-digit temperatures, stop-and-go traffic, or towing a load, and it can overheat if your cooling system isn't up to the task.

⛽🚗 Don't Wait Until Your Gas Tank Is Empty! 🚗⛽

Many drivers treat the fuel gauge like a game, waiting until the warning light comes on before filling up. But running your vehicle on a nearly empty tank can actually cause problems—and cost you money in the long run.

Here are a few reasons to keep your tank at least 1/4 full:

🔹 Protect Your Fuel Pump
Your fuel pump relies on gasoline to help keep it cool. Frequently running low on fuel can cause the pump to overheat and wear out prematurely.

🔹 Avoid Sediment Issues
Over time, small amounts of dirt and debris can settle at the bottom of your fuel tank. Running on empty increases the chance of that sediment being pulled into your fuel system.

🔹 Prevent Unexpected Breakdowns
Traffic jams, detours, road closures, and long lines at gas stations can leave you stranded if you're already running low.

🔥 Is Your Car an Oven on Wheels? Here's How to Cool It Down Fast! 🚗❄️

We've all been there—opening your car door on a hot summer day and getting blasted with a wave of heat. Before cranking the A/C, try these quick tips to cool your vehicle faster:

✅ Open all the doors for 30-60 seconds to let trapped hot air escape.
✅ Roll down the windows and drive for a minute or two before turning on the A/C.
✅ Set your A/C to "Fresh Air" mode first, then switch to "Recirculate" once the interior starts cooling down.
✅ Aim dashboard vents upward. Cool air will naturally sink and circulate throughout the cabin.
✅ Use a windshield sunshade whenever possible to reduce interior temperatures.

🌡️ Did you know? The interior of a parked vehicle can reach over 120°F in just minutes on a hot day!

And remember: Never leave children or pets in a parked vehicle—even for a short time.
