The first late model race of the season at Lakeport Speedway was last Saturday 6-27-26. My main super late wasn’t going to be ready so on Monday the 6-22-26 I decided to assemble one of my other chassis to make the race and support my local track as I always do. So with the help from Mikey Collins, Klintion Waite we assembled a whole super late in 5 days. We arrived Saturday and got ready for the first set of practice. Car was good but started experiencing a few issues. So we worked on them brake pedal was solid when we left the shop then it went soft in the main event. Thought we had an ignition box failing but it ended up being a sticky valve. So we accomplished our goal to make the race but didn’t have the performance necessary to be competitive. Having no brakes isn’t enough for me to pull off but having a miss in the engine is. So after 17 laps I pulled off to save the car from any more damage. We will make the necessary repairs and be better prepared for the next race at lakeport on 8-15-26 where we will have both the modified and super late racing. Thanks to all my sponsors who make it possible to race. I really appreciate all the support they have given me year after year. Thanks to Mike Doss and crew for all they are doing to give us racers a great place to race.
