On this day, we remember one of the most unbelievable events in American history.
On June 4, 2004, Marvin Heemeyer climbed into a modified Komatsu D355A bulldozer—armored with steel and concrete, complete with cameras and bulletproof glass—and rolled through Granby, Colorado. Over the course of about two hours, the "Killdozer" demolished 13 buildings before finally grinding to a halt.
Heemeyer once said, "Sometimes reasonable men must do unreasonable things." Whether you see it as a cautionary tale, a piece of bizarre history, or pure internet legend, one thing's for sure: this story is one that people just can't stop talking about
