On September 28, 2025, at approximately 1934 hours, deputies responded to a serious traffic crash involving a pickup truck and a motorcycle. The call was dispatched as an entrapment incident, as the motorcycle rider was pinned beneath the rear of the pickup truck.

Mr. Anthony M. and Mr. Mason C, who were in the area and received notification of the crash through a traffic incident application, responded immediately to the scene. Upon arrival, they quickly coordinated with Broward Sheriff’s Office Fire Rescue personnel and offered the use of their tow equipment to assist in lifting the rear of the vehicle. With authorization from fire rescue personnel, they successfully elevated the truck, allowing emergency responders expedited access to the trapped motorcyclist.

According to fire rescue personnel on scene, the actions of Mr. Anthony M, and Mr. Mason C, saved an estimated six minutes of extrication time — time that would have otherwise been required to deploy specialized airbag lifting equipment beneath the vehicle. Although the motorcyclist ultimately succumbed to their injuries, the efforts and assistance provided by these individuals were both significant and commendable under extremely difficult circumstances.

The conduct displayed by Mr. Anthony M, and Mr.Mason C, reflects exceptional professionalism, initiative, and dedication to public safety. Their willingness to respond without hesitation in support of emergency life-saving operations demonstrates a strong sense of civic responsibility and an outstanding partnership with first responders.
