First sponsor outing in the books. 🐾

No hardware this time — but Paws & Pistons #6 was exactly the kind of day we needed. Three cars deep, the #50 drew a crowd and a whole lot of good questions, and Blueberry "Spool_N" made its first public showing.

We'd do it again in a heartbeat. Thanks to everyone who stopped by.

And this boys and girls is why we test! Because failures like these during a race weekend tend to turn into sheer chaos 🤦‍♂️ 🥲

We had been suspicious for some time that one of the fuel pumps on the MRT 50 machine were getting weak on us well while testing today we decided to throw a new pump in and send it up until realizing we had no power (or very minimal) on our trigger wire for the second pump.

Some Less than optimal tools and a lot of cussing because let’s be honest who likes working on electrical stuff 😜 and she’s back like she never left.

Finished the test day strong and that’s all that matters. Day 2 comes tomorrow and we’re happy that will be introducing some new faces to our sport in the never ending effort to grow our sport / community. ✌️

Driver development starts long before the race car.
Before the horsepower, the data, the race tires and the big cars, there’s the kart.
Learning to brake.
Learning to carry speed.
Learning race lines.
Learning how to race around other drivers.
These are the fundamentals that stay with a driver no matter what they eventually climb into.
For us, it’s pretty cool getting to watch Hailey start building those skills now. ❤️🏁
The next generation of MRT doesn’t necessarily start in a Mustang.

They told me in impound I'd won the race. I had no clue. 🏁

July MARRS ended before it ever started. Oil cooler line failures on the MRT 50 kept me from making my debut.

Fast forward to the Labor Day Spectacular and the car ran flawless. My MARRS debut in Touring 2:

Qualifying: 1:27.876
Saturday Heat 1: P1, fastest lap 1:29.245 in the rain
Sunday heat: P4. Sunday feature: P4. Monday feature: P4.
Weekend best lap: 1:24.313 in Monday's feature.
650 points on the weekend.

Chris Harris in the #40 Mustang and I battled it out all weekend, trading positions. Hell of a driver, put on one hell of a show. Can't wait for October.

And Steve shared the car all weekend in Sprint Bracket: P2 in qualifying, P3 in Race 2, P5 in Races 3 and 5, best lap 1:23.478. One car, two drivers.
