Another new customer came to us last week, referral from another great customer....she was told she needed a new engine....est $14,263.86!! It seems the Ford dealer she was at must have just given up, no actual diagnosis, in fact they didn't even charge her for this estimate(ask yourself why). This was the 2nd repair facility she had been to locally. The 1st repair facility tried to give the vehicle a tune up, when they weren't successful the car was towed to the Ford dealer. We got the vehicle, found it had new spark plugs installed (one of which was broken upon installation, cyl. 2), and the fuel rail removed with one fuel injector stuck in the cylinder head (also destroyed from attempts of removing it, cyl. 1). We replaced the spark plugs, replaced the destroyed fuel injector, and drove the vehicle to the next town and back...no issues. Now, she did pay about $800, but, she is on the road, and we saved her $13,500!! The owner was so upset, she bought a new car for herself, not with us or the dealer...I have included the pictures of the invoice, broken spark plug, and damaged injector(the 1st repair shops bent over the electrical connector pins inside, and was why it wouldn't work, the 2nd repair shop destroyedit trying to get it out of the cyl. head).
This is why I went into business for myself over 20yrs ago, seeing so many incompetent repairs showing up for my attention....now we pride ourselves in fixing cars, especially the ones others cannot...I am so proud of our crew, the best we've ever had. That being said, we are looking for another team player, in our Service dept. If you know anyone looking, please let us know. This next addition will need to be certified, and able to fix all makes and all models, or be willing to learn this. We offer competitive benefits, and pay. Thanks for reading this, always get another opinion if you are unsure, this happens all the time....Cheers
