As America celebrates its 250th anniversary, we’re dedicating our season to the nonprofits serving our military, veterans, and their families.

This month, our featured nonprofit is SAFER Together Alabama. Through a network of trusted firearm retailers and storage partners, SAFER Together helps create a voluntary path for individuals in crisis to temporarily store their fi****ms while they receive support and assistance.

Sometimes a little time, a little distance, and a little support can save a life.

We encourage you to visit www.SAFERTogetherAL.org to learn of the important work they are doing to support veterans, service members, first responders, and their families. Because no hero should ever have to fight their toughest battle alone.

🇺🇸 Being called the City of Valor means more to our community than a place where we host a car show. 🇺🇸

Leeds is proud to be home to three Congressional Medal of Honor recipients: Henry “Red” Erwin, William R. Lawley Jr., and Alford L. McLaughlin, and is widely recognized as having the highest per-capita concentration of Medal of Honor recipients in the United States. 🇺🇸

The City of Valor represents patriotism, sacrifice, fellowship, the freedom to own a small business, and the people who continue showing up for this town every single day.

Communities like Leeds are built by hardworking families, Veterans, local business owners, volunteers, and organizations willing to invest in something bigger than themselves.

If honor of the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, we’re excited to launch CityofValor.com, a community initiative created to connect Veterans and the public with Veteran focused events, discounts, organizations, recovery resources, transition assistance, mental wellness initiatives, and meaningful ways to support the men and women who served our country. 🇺🇸

CityofValor.com is an 💡 incubator project we’ve joined through The Incubator Foundation, a registered Alabama 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization where ideas like this go to grow.

Thanks to the generosity of our Motors on Main community, May’s featured charity, Rewindfortheblind, received $3,126 in event-driven donations last night during our Downtown Leeds cruise-in.

Motors on Main has always been about more than cool cars. We’re about supporting small businesses, supporting our neighbors, and supporting causes that matter. Whether through fellowship downtown, shopping local, or rallying around charities making a difference across Central Alabama, we’re all just tools for a greater purpose, and we’re proud for this cruise-in to be one small part of that machine.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, donated, volunteered, and continues helping us build something meaningful together.

Thank you to everyone who took the chance, watched the radar, and came out to spend the evening with us in Historic Downtown Leeds last night. Rain may have tried to scare people off, but the good times, cool cars, live music, and community still showed up strong.

Facebook and social media are great, but we know you shouldn’t have to go hunting for information when plans change, weather shifts, giveaways happen, or important announcements are made.

To make things easier moving forward, we officially launched our live updates and announcements sign-up form at MotorsOnMain.com so we can push information directly to you faster and more reliably.
