Kustom Kemps of America Leadsled Spectacular coming up next weekend in Salina, Kansas
Throwback pic of when we won the Triple 7 award for Americas Top Kustom. 2009!
My favorite build to date. Built for Erik & Paul Hansen. Called Resilience. We worked very closely with them and my ideas and Brian Stupski. It was detailed and finished underneath and showed indoors with a display with mirrors and lights under it. It did very well in the custom circles , both indoor and outdoor and even won best custom at Detroit. Best engineered at Sacramento.
It did zero I mean zero at any Goodguys events it was at . There was a time where Kustoms like this were at a weird spot in the show world with it being a modern style custom.
It got featured in many magazines around and covers.
We had it at the SEMA show, where I met Kevin Tetz, which turned into me being on his show , which eventually turned to me having my own TV show and moving to Tennessee. That also opened the doors for all the announcing gigs that I currently have and been doing for the past 13 years.
One car with the right customer can seriously change your whole world, and I seen it with this car .
Carrie and I have been lifetime KKOA members since 1993. We were lifetime member number 33.
Next weekend, Carrie is nominated for their Hall of Fame. I don’t think they’ve actually ever voted in a female, even though there is two on the ballot this year.
This is her first year nominated. I think I was nominated five or six times before I got voted in.
We will be there for the weekend in one of our most enjoyable shows and I will be on the microphone for the Saturday night program for the Hall of Fame award picks and inducting two new members into the Hall of Fame.
If you’re in town, don’t forget to swing by the Garage Museum in Salina also where our Purple 54 is still on display. The Garage Salina
