So.. I feel like this little bit of information is deserving of a PSA... There has been an influx of Kia and Hyundai motors failing as you are probably all aware.. Kia is involved in a class action law suit over the failure currently. There currently a shortage of cores, so remanufacturing companies are not able to reman these motors.. Good luck buying a used one (why you would that be a viable option) I have seen prices 4-6 thousand dollars!!! This is for a really good chance this will happen to the used motor! Oh and to top it all off... Wait for it.... Kia has DISCONTINUED the engine!!! 🧐🤷♀️ So to all of our customers thinking of owning one of these cars... Call us first! If you have one... get the knock sensor recall done for they will not honor warranty (per a local Kia service department) if you have open recalls!
