Hey everyone, I have been doing a lot of before and after dyno videos and comparisons lately for my youtube and have a favor to ask.
If you plan to have me dyno tune your car and you or a friend are doing the mods, I would love to see it on the dyno first to see what it is making stock or with whatever bolt ons it may already have. I won't charge for this, it's just som**hing fun to see.

I am also looking for a 100% bone stock ls1 car to put on the dyno. I will also do this for free because I want to see what they make. It has to have zero mods. No cold air intake, headers, stock cat back, etc.

Max effort cam hellcat on the dyno.

Hey everyone, sorry it's been a few days since I posted anything with a whipple.😅 Got this 2023 Charger 6.4 in last week for a tune and got great numbers from it.

If you are getting your exhaust or headers done by anyone, please ask them if they plan to just solid weld the entire exhaust as one solid 20 foot long turd directly to the headers. Bonus points if it is one solid piece that goes from the header, to the y pipe, over the axle, and out the back, so if you need to remove a crossmember you have to cut and reweld it in 4 places just to do a rear main seal! That is the best. *this is sarcasm*

Slip joints work fine, vbands are like $50 at speedway (don't use the nuts they come with they will ruin the clamp). They are 1000x easier to weld onto the header when the header is laying on the ground, than when it is wedged between your transmission and chassis.

This will save me from having to sawzall it apart when I have to do literally anything (transmission, crossmemeber, oil pan, header gaskets, etc).

Thanks,
Brock

Had the pleasure of doing some tuning on this at the time 25 mile Raptor R last month.

Our friends over at GP Customs installed a whipple, a fore triple pump fuel system, a massive cold air intake, and 1700cc injectors.

Through big tires in 5th gear, these typically make about 560 to the tire stock on a nice day, on a hot day like when we dyno'd it, we expect 530-540. 720 to the crank is what they are rated at.

This made 784 on e85 a 95 degree day fighting intake air temps. If we do the math there with stock power loss to the tire, we end up at 1045 hp to the crank. This thing on 37s is absolutely wild, and we are excited to see what it picks up from some headers this winter.

This truck gets driven and used which is awesome, it already has over 1000 miles on it.

Not sure if I ever posted this truck. It came to us with a stage 2 whipple upgrade and some throttle hang. Whipple got us a new throttle body, we went ahead and added a water m**h kit because the fuel quality the owner was able to get wasn't amazing and even on the stock whipple file it was pulling up to 8 degrees in some places.

For the water m**h system we are just running a simple washer fluid mix. The goal wasn't a million horsepower, but just to make up for inconsistent fuel. Small town 91 in the winter is nasty sometimes since most cars that use it are parked.

We also adjusted fueling, part throttle timing, and shifting to keep it in the powerband better. They kind of lug around at low rpm and load up, so allowing it to cruise around and downshift when needed is a huge plus.

Where do you think our actual inflation is sitting?

I have been trying to be as fair as possible on pricing, just keeping up with what the "official" inflation numbers are, and I am going to use my 2018 pricing as an example. I don't get any complaints, but I just want to talk about this on a public forum.

In 2018 I was $125/ hr
A dyno tune for say a cammed ls1 was $750.

To keep up at the official 33% since that date, I would be
$166/hr
$1000 for the tune

Meanwhile, my internet bill has gone from $100 to $200 a month
Quickbooks went from $90 to $200
Insurance hasn't gone up much, bookkeeping went up from about $180mo to $345
Rent of course went up but I am in a bigger/ nicer spot now so that is hard to compare.
My shop management system went from $100 to $200
Heat and electric haven't changed much thankfully.

Fluids/ parts etc are just kind of all over the place, so I will stay out of that area.

Now where I am getting at here, is if a lot of these services have gone up over 100%, is that where the number should be instead of 33%? If I was going up with everything else I am seeing, I would be roughly $250 an hour, which I am seeing from some of the bigger city dealerships.
I don't plan to do that, or to ask what anyone else is charging. It is just interesting to look at the current inflation data and feel like som**hing is definitely very wrong.

Just som**hing I want to talk about today.
I will never make an ai post, an ai poster, an ai ad, an ai character, or use ai in any way for my shop.
I am constantly told by everyone (other business owners included) how I won't keep up because I refuse to use it. If that is the case you can find me tuning under a bridge someday I guess.
So far, however, we are the busiest we have ever been and I feel very blessed for that.
