Lindale Custom Jeeps We’re a Jeep-only shop working on Jeeps of all kinds. We specialize in regearing, drivetrain, engine repair, maintenance, & more.

Whether you’re building a trail rig, cruising around town, or playing in the mud, we’re here to keep it on the road or trail. We work on anything from CJ's to JL's, Renegades, Grand Cherokee's, Cherokee's, Compass, and Gladiator's (JT). We welcome all that crawl, even mall crawlers, and even if you like playing in the mud. We're kicking off a big project on this 1979 CJ5, starting with a custom exhaust built from the headers all the way back to the tips. Our master fabricator is cutting, fitting, and welding everything to make it fit this Jeep just right.

🔧 Hear a Ticking Noise in Your 3.6L Wrangler? 👂

If you have a 2012 or newer Wrangler with the 3.6L Pentastar engine and notice a ticking noise coming from under the hood, don't ignore it!

One possible cause is a worn rocker arm. If left unchecked, it can damage the camshaft and turn a smaller repair into a much bigger job.

On this Jeep, we replaced all 24 Mopar rocker arms and lifters, along with the driver-side exhaust camshaft. We also replaced the gaskets needed for the engine work.

Hearing a tick doesn't automatically mean you have a bad rocker arm, but it's worth getting checked out. At Lindale Custom Jeeps, we'll look at and diagnose your Jeep at no charge to help figure out what's going on before it turns into a bigger problem. 👨‍🔧

🏆 We Brought Home Some Trophies! 🚙

We had a great time at yesterday’s Crossroads Classic Car Show! LCJ took home the Club Award for having the largest group show up, and two more from our group brought home trophies of their own! 🎉

🔥 Building Up This 1990 Wrangler 🔧

We gave this YJ a serious upgrade underneath.
Revolution Gear & Axle 5.13 gears and Eaton E-lockers went into both axles, along with front and rear axles.

We also installed the necessary axle hardware, then added a Nilight 4-switch panel in the center console and wired everything up to control the lockers.

All that's left now is to put those upgrades to work. 👨‍🔧🛻

🔩 A Little Rear End Work, A Little Front End Work...

We rebuilt the rear end with new Revolution Gear & Axle ring and pinion, carrier, bearings and shims, then set everything up and checked the backlash before sealing it back up.

The front end got new wheel hubs, all four ball joints, and an RPM Steering 2.5-ton aluminum steering kit. Once the mechanical work was done, we finished up with an alignment, corrected the steering wheel, and calibrated the speedometer.

🔧 A Whole Lot of Work on This One! 🔥

This Jeep came in with a pretty long list, and we kept the wrenches busy.

We installed Rugged Ridge XHD front and rear bumpers, a 13,000 lb winch with synthetic rope, Rock Hard 4x4 Sport Cage, Wizard Works Offroad rock sliders, Corbeau Moab seats, and PRP 4.3 harnesses.

The cage and harness bar needed some modification to fit everything properly, and we drilled the body and frame for the rock sliders. We also painted the cage and sliders, painted the center console and rear storage boxes, and modified the dash to clear the cage.

Then we knocked out the maintenance and repair work — oil change, differential reseals, fluids checked and topped off, new battery and battery box, fuel filter and hoses, shifter boots, lights, and new headlight and wiper switches.

We found a leaking heater core during testing, so we bypassed it and installed new heater hose. After everything was buttoned up, we took it for a test drive and got it ready to go. 👨‍🔧
