This is a little rust repair job we did last week. The stairs literally fell out. We removed all the surface rust and applied an acid based rust remover. Replaced the steps and painted with an epoxy paint. The product we use says it guarantees to prevent rust from re occurring for 5 years. Somthing to think about if you have rusty
