Our Story

Mike’s Automotive is a family owned and operated mechanic shop providing professional and reliable service in the heart of Lodi, CA, at 420 W. Lodi Ave.

Husband and wife of 39 years, Mike and Kim Torrente, started the shop in 2008. Mike has over 45 years of experience in repairing and smogging vehicles; while Kim has 32 years customer service experience.

Along with 45 years of experience, Mike is certified in A.S.E (Automotive Service Excellence), licensed in Smog, Air Conditioning and over 50 additional certifications! Working alongside Mike for the past 25 years, is highly skilled technician Joe Cavazos as Mike’s right hand man. Both technicians have extensive knowledge and experience working on all American and Foreign vehicles including Chevy, Ford, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Lexus, BMW, Volkswagon and more.

Mike and Kim began the shop with three basic goals of being ethical, honest, and efficiently getting your vehicle back on the road. 12 years later they continue to pride themselves and uphold this image. Spanning nearly a decade, Mike’s has been awarded more than 15 Readers Choice awards, as voted on by the local community, for best Automotive Service Center and best Oil Changes.
