Longview, we grieve with you.
The loss at our local Nippon last week has touched every corner of this community. Our neighbors. Our customers. Our friends. The families left behind have a long road ahead of them, and they shouldn't have to walk it alone.
Our team at Bud Clary Chevrolet, Ford, Hyundai & Subaru chipped in $10,000 to the family fund, and we'd ask you to give whatever you can too. Every bit goes to the people who need it right now.
Here's how to help:
Fibre Federal and Red Canoe are both taking donations at every branch. Just write "Nippon Family Fund" on the memo line and it goes straight to the families through the Longshoreman's Federal Credit Union.
You can also give to the family fund set up by the Cowlitz/Wahkiakum Central Labor Council and the Longview/Kelso Building Trades. Drop it off or mail it to 629 14th Avenue, Longview, WA 98632. Make checks out to Cowlitz Wahkiakum Labor Council (CWLC) and write "Family Fund Donation" on the memo line.
This town has always taken care of its own. Let's take care of these families now.
