Did you know your electric vehicle needs wheel alignment more than you might think?
EVs are significantly heavier than traditional gas-powered cars. A larger battery pack adds hundreds of pounds of extra weight — and that weight sits low, putting constant pressure on your suspension and tires.
Here's what that means in practice:
Alignment shifts faster on EVs
The extra weight accelerates wear on suspension components. What might take 12-15 months to shift on a gas car can happen much sooner on an EV.
Misalignment drains your battery
Misaligned wheels create rolling resistance. Your motor works harder to compensate. That extra effort draws more power — and shortens your range on every single drive.
Tire wear is more expensive on EVs
EV tires are specially designed to handle the weight and instant torque. They're not cheap. Poor alignment wears them unevenly and cuts their lifespan significantly.
Regenerative braking doesn't protect you here
A lot of EV owners assume their car's technology handles everything. Regenerative braking is great — but it can't correct for misaligned wheels.
If you own a Tesla, Rivian, Chevy Bolt, or any other electric vehicle — getting a regular alignment check is one of the simplest ways to protect your investment and maintain your range.

⚡ Drive a Mercedes EV? Here's why precise alignment matters more than ever.
Whether you're behind the wheel of an EQS, EQE, EQB, EQA, EQC, or even the electric EQS SUV, your vehicle’s advanced suspension demands pinpoint accuracy, and misalignment can quickly lead to:

🚫 Uneven tire wear
⚡ Reduced driving range
🛞 Less responsive handling
💸 Expensive long-term damage

That’s why our shop uses next-gen alignment systems equipped with ride height sensors — tech usually found only at Mercedes dealerships. We ensure every alignment is calibrated to your EV’s exact suspension height and geometry.
This is the level of precision your EV deserves — without the complexity or pricing of a dealership.
