At some point these stopped being tires and became part of the team.
We started with six Vitour Performance Tires P1s.
Realistically, we’d still have all six in rotation today if one of them hadn’t picked up a puncture after already surviving multiple seasons worth of heat cycles and abuse. That’s the only reason the set got broken up. Not pace. Not grip. Not consistency. A puncture.
The rest? They just kept going.
These tires have now survived:
• 30+ hillclimb runs
• an entire 2025 hillclimb championship campaign
• 50+ time attack sessions
• an SCCA divisional title
• an SCCA national title
• countless test sessions afterward
…and they’re STILL out here helping reset lap records and personal bests like the job isn’t finished yet.
For reference: the photo above is not “the pile headed for retirement.”
This is the pile that keeps showing back up ready for another session.
These P1s have climbed mountains, lived through enough heat cycles to qualify for veteran status, endured full-send development testing, and still delivered the consistency and confidence needed to keep leaning harder into the car. When you’re developing a platform, chasing records, and asking a lot from both driver and machine, that kind of durability matters.
And now the next chapter heads to Pikes Peak.
The new Vitour Sonic gets thrown directly into one of the harshest proving grounds in motorsport:
14,000 feet,
156 corners,
changing surfaces,
changing temperatures,
and absolutely zero tolerance for weakness.
If the P1s helped carry us through championships, development, records, and relentless testing, we’re incredibly excited to see what the Sonic can do on the mountain.
Because Pikes Peak doesn’t care about marketing.
It cares about performance.
And we’re ready to let the mountain decide.
EDIT: We've gotten a TON of requests for how to buy these tires! Our exclusive tire distributor for Vitour (amongst others) is OneOf250 529innovations.com - They can set up full pallets of tires, as well!
