Could we have made it smooth again?? Yes, but the outer bearing would have never ran true with how much metal we would have to remove off of the spindle.

LOCTITE. LOCTITE. LOCTITE‼️

Always apply fresh threadlocker when mounting your brake calipers no matter the system ‼️‼️

Even if you’re using new bolts that come with it, add liquid threadlocker to be safe‼️

Check them consistently as well to ensure the bolts are staying tight so you don’t end up with a ruined caliper and a non functioning system‼️

The truth‼️‼️

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS MAINTENANCE FREE MARINE HUBS!
- I just got off the phone to order some axles from a reputable marine trailer manufacturer and he told me the price for the axles and it included “maintenance free hubs” and it struck a nerve! All hubs need to be maintained. Some need less maintenance, some need more! If they didn’t need any form of maintenance then there would be no replacements parts.

*If you’re in the market for a new boat or have recently bought one, give me a shout and let me explain exactly how to maintain your Vault hubs or any other hub out there‼️

TECH TIP:

When replacing bunks on a pontoon boats sometimes it’s difficult to get your new bunks back lined up as they should be at the correct height. Take a paint pen and put a small line along the bottom edge of the old bunks before removal. This is a good reference point to get started before getting everything exact with a tape measure when mounting the new bunks‼️💪🏼
