The front doors on this Genesis GV80 were already tinted from the factory on the rear glass. The owner wanted the fronts to match for a uniform, finished look across the entire vehicle. That is a common request and one worth doing right.

We installed a ceramic window film at 20% on both front doors. Ceramic film is not the same as standard dyed or carbon film. The ceramic construction blocks a significant amount of infrared heat and UV radiation without relying on heavy dye to do it. That matters in a place like Lumberton where summer heat and direct sun are not kind to interiors or to the people sitting in them.

Prep work came first. Clean glass, no contamination, proper fitment. The film went on flat, edge to edge, with no shortcuts. The result is front doors that now match the rear glass the way the owner envisioned.

North Carolina summers are relentless. The UV index in Lumberton alone is enough to fade paint, break down wax, and leave unprotected clear coat looking dull within a single season. That is exactly the environment this Chevrolet Camaro is up against every time it leaves the studio.

We applied a ceramic coating to give this paint real, measurable defense against the heat, humidity, and UV exposure that defines this region. Ceramic coatings work by forming a chemically bonded layer over the clear coat, one that resists UV degradation, repels water and contaminants, and stays stable under the kind of thermal stress Lumberton summers generate consistently. This is not a surface treatment that washes away. It bonds at the molecular level and performs season after season.

Preparation is everything before a coating goes down. The paint surface was properly decontaminated and inspected before any product touched it. What goes on top of a compromised surface will only lock in those problems. That is not how we work here.

Now this Camaro is protected against everything Lumberton summers bring.

Lumberton summers are not gentle on paint. The UV index here stays elevated for months, humidity sits heavy, and road debris on rural highways does consistent damage to clear coat over time. That is the environment every vehicle in Robeson County is up against.

This 2026 Toyota Sienna came to the studio for ceramic coating, and before a single drop of coating touched the paint, we worked through a full decontamination and surface preparation process. Chemical decontamination pulls bonded contaminants out of the clear coat. Iron remover addresses what a wash cannot reach. Clay work follows. Every step exists because ceramic coating bonds directly to the surface beneath it, and that surface has to be clean at a molecular level for the coating to perform the way it is designed to.

Ceramic coating on a daily driver like a Sienna is not about looks alone. It is about reducing the workload the paint faces every single day, building in hydrophobic protection that sheds water and resists UV degradation, and keeping the clear coat in better condition longer.

Proper preparation makes all the difference in long term results.

Paint protection film on a 2025 Kia K5 is exactly the kind of work that demands patience before a single panel gets wrapped.

Before any PPF goes down, the paint gets a thorough decontamination pass. Bonded contamination, iron particles, anything sitting on the surface that could cause adhesion issues or trap debris under the film gets addressed first. That preparation work is what separates a clean, lasting install from one that starts lifting or hazing within a year.

The K5 has some tight body lines and panel transitions that require precise fitment. Computer-cut PPF lets us work with the geometry of this car rather than against it, keeping edges clean and coverage consistent across every protected surface.

Out here in Lumberton, UV exposure and road debris off rural highways are constant. PPF handles both. It absorbs the physical impact of gravel and road grit while blocking the UV degradation that fades and dulls paint over time. That protection is working every single day, whether the car is parked or on the road.

2010 Lincoln MKZ in for Union carbon window tint. 20% on all side and rear windows with 35% on the full windshield.

Carbon film is our standard offering for good reason. Better optical clarity than dyed film, serious heat and UV rejection, and a lifespan that holds up over time. On a vehicle like this MKZ the tint also adds a visual sharpness that complements the body lines naturally.

35% on the windshield keeps glare out without affecting your vision at night. The combination across all glass gives you consistent coverage and real protection from the sun.

North Carolina summers are not kind to your interior. UV index stays elevated for months, heat builds fast through unprotected glass, and by mid-July the dashboard and door panels in most vehicles are already taking a beating that compounds year after year.

This 2010 GMC Terrain came into the studio for window tint using Union Window Films, and the goal was straightforward: reduce heat load, cut UV pe*******on, and protect the interior long-term without sacrificing visibility or clarity.

Union Window Films offers real infrared rejection and UV protection that actually holds up in high-humidity, high-heat environments like Lumberton. This is not decorative tint. The film is selected and applied with the same attention to surface prep and fitment that goes into every service we do here. Clean glass, precise cuts, no shortcuts in the process.

The Terrain interior now runs cooler, the glass performs year-round, and the materials inside are no longer taking direct UV exposure every single day.

Owners of vehicles like the Mercedes GLS 450 usually know what they have. They want the paint to stay that way.

Before any coating goes down at OCD Detailing Studio, the paint gets a thorough inspection under controlled lighting. On a vehicle like this, surface contamination, light marring, and oxidation from Lumberton's UV exposure all have to be addressed before a coating ever touches the clear coat. Skipping that step means locking in imperfections under a layer that is designed to last years.

We ran a full paint enhancement to level out the surface and restore clarity, then applied a ceramic coating to seal the work in. The result is a hydrophobic, UV-resistant surface that is prepared to handle the heat, humidity, and road exposure that come with driving in Robeson County every day.

Proper preparation makes all the difference in long-term results.

Protect it now or restore it later. This 2026 Toyota Tundra owner chose now.

Ceramic tint all around with 5% on all side and rear windows, 35% on the windshield, and 35% on the panoramic sunroof. Every window covered.

Inside, ceramic coating was applied to every surface. Leather, plastics, fabric, and vinyl all treated and protected. Interior ceramic coating is one of the most overlooked services we offer. Your interior takes UV exposure, heat, spills, and daily contact every single time you get in the vehicle. Coating those surfaces makes cleanup significantly easier and protects materials that are expensive to repair or replace.

Protect the outside. Protect the inside. Protect the investment.

Carolina summers don't ask permission before they damage your interior. UV radiation through factory glass fades upholstery, warps dashboards, and makes daily driving genuinely uncomfortable. On a 2026 Toyota Camry, that kind of heat buildup adds up fast.

At OCD Detailing Studio, we installed Union Window Films on this Camry to address exactly that. Union's Carbon IR and Ceramic IR films are built with infrared rejection technology that goes well beyond basic tinting. The chemistry behind it blocks a meaningful portion of solar heat before it ever enters the cabin, reducing interior temperatures and protecting the materials inside your vehicle over the long term.

Preparation matters as much as the film itself. We cleaned and inspected every glass surface before any film was laid down, because adhesion quality at installation directly determines how the film holds up years later. Proper prep is not optional, it is the whole point.

This Camry is now better equipped to handle Lumberton's UV index and summer heat than it was rolling off the lot.

Obsessive care. Every time.
