After over 25 years in the Powersports industry Lori and I have decided it’s time to shift gears. Saturday, December 2nd will be our last day having normal business hours at Luverne Kawasaki.
We began in 1992 as 40% owners of a shop in NE. In Late 2003 we decided it was time to open our own store. March 1st 2004 we opened the doors at Luverne Kawasaki. We were ecstatic when in the first week we sold 6 new Kawasakis’ and never looked back. Unfortunately, the past few years have not been good for the entire industry. It’s been especially difficult for a single line dealer in a small ag dependent community. Sadly, we don’t see any change in this trend for several years to come. We want to sincerely and enthusiastically thank the Luverne community and all of our past customers and friends for their support, patronage and friendship over the past (almost) 14 years. Not the only, but certainly the most disappointing part of this decision is that we won’t be here to support the customers who have bought from us. For that, we are sincerely sorry and hope for your understanding.
For the next thirty days Lori and I will be here liquidating everything in the building. All remaining vehicles, parts, accessories, apparel, store fixtures, shop equipment, specialty tools, Toyota fork lift, tires, welder, solvent tank, EVERYTHING is marked down for immediate sale and EVERYTHING must be sold. Special orders are still welcomed if you need something we don’t have on hand.
We are excited to begin a new and different chapter of life. Who knows, maybe we’ll think of a new business venture. We are looking forward to new challenges, the possibility of having 2 whole days a week off, and maybe even some actual vacation time during the summer!
