Scarlet Red Bee Balm is from the mint family. The plant attracts hummingbirds, bees, butterflies and mosquitoes hate the smell.
The flower blooms from summer to fall. The plants need to be divided every 2-3 years to keep air flow through the leaves. Very acceptable to powdery mildew

The spotted Phillip attracts butterflies, hummingbirds, moths and the seeds will attract songbirds. It grows 2/3 ft high likes full sun and is deer resistant. Deadhead to promote new blooms.

Sullivant milkweed is a just plant to the monarch caterpillars. It also attracts bees, hummingbirds and other insects. It is a summer blooming plant.

Wild Ginger is a good shade/ground cover that is native. Can transplant by digging out the rhizome. It will thrive in moist shade areas. The flowers are hidden under the leaves by the base of the plant. Native Americans used the plant for medical purposes.
