I’m revisiting some of the most important RV beginner items I’ve recommended over the past year. A lot of new RV owners have joined the page recently, and these essentials are the things I talk about on every inspection.

Post Text:
Your RV fridge needs to be level to work properly. These leveling blocks make setup fast and simple, even on uneven campsites.

I keep a set in my RV at all times.

I use this exact kit on every inspection.

Campground power isn’t always stable. I’ve inspected RVs where electrical surges fried converters, AC units, and appliances. A surge protector is cheap insurance that saves you from expensive repairs.

This is the one I trust and recommend to every RV owner.

I’m revisiting some of the most important RV beginner items I’ve recommended over the past year. A lot of new RV owners have joined the page recently, and these essentials are the things I talk about on every inspection.

Let’s start with the #1 item every RV owner should have — a water pressure regulator.
Most RV parks run water pressure way higher than your RV plumbing can handle. I’ve seen fittings blow, hoses burst, and leaks inside cabinets because the pressure was too high.

This little $ 22.99 regulator is the first thing I tell every new RV owner to buy. It protects your RV and keeps your water system safe.

🌧 Trip Update — Sometimes the Weather Wins
Good morning everyone. We were all set and excited to head out on our trip this weekend, but after watching the forecast… we decided to cancel. When they’re calling for 70–90% rain all weekend, that’s not exactly the kind of “fun adventure” we had in mind.

Part of RV life is knowing when to roll… and when to wait. Camping in nonstop rain isn’t enjoyable, and it’s definitely not safe when storms start moving through.

The good news?
We still used today to get things ready for the next trip — especially in our RV storage bays (our RV garages). A little organization now means when the weather clears, we can hook up and go without missing a beat.

And like always, I prepped some food ahead of time. Even though the trip is canceled, the kitchen was busy:

Fresh homemade salsa

Mexican salsa Verde

A tray of homemade enchiladas

Keeping meals simple when camping makes the whole weekend smoother — just heat, serve, and enjoy. I’ll add a couple pictures below so you can see how everything turned out.

Sometimes the best trips start with a rain delay… and a full fridge.

🚀 Storage & Organize Series – RV Garage Edition
Today we’re focusing on one of the most important — and most overlooked — parts of RV life: the RV garage storage bays. These compartments are your rolling workshop, gear locker, and supply room all in one. When they’re organized, packing up for a trip becomes fast, simple, and stress‑free.

I’ve also activated several Amazon Associates promotions covering storage, organization, tools, bins, and shelving — perfect timing if you’re upgrading your RV garage or your home garage.

Featured RV Garage Tips:

Vertical storage racks keep tools and gear easy to reach

Clear bins help you see exactly what’s inside

Heavy‑duty totes protect seasonal or bulky RV equipment

Wall‑mounted hooks and straps keep hoses, cords, and chairs from shifting

Label everything — it saves time every single trip

And if you also organize your home garage, it makes camping prep even easier. When everything is stored in one place, reloading the RV becomes a quick grab‑and‑go instead of a scavenger hunt.

🚐 Organizing Your RV Bathroom & Bedroom: Creating Calm in Small Spaces
One of the biggest lessons we’ve learned living the RV life is this:
A peaceful RV starts with organized spaces.
When your bathroom and bedroom feel calm and clutter‑free, the whole RV feels bigger, lighter, and easier to live in.

🛁 Bathroom Organization Tips
Small space, big impact — here’s what truly works on the road:

Over‑the‑door organizers keep toiletries and cleaning supplies accessible without crowding the counter.

Adhesive hooks are perfect for towels, robes, and washcloths (and they don’t damage walls).

A grab‑and‑go toiletry caddy keeps daily essentials in one place.

Slim shelves or corner baskets help you use vertical space instead of fighting for counter space.

🛏 Bedroom Organization Tips
Your bedroom should feel like a retreat — even in an RV.
These simple upgrades make a huge difference:

Under‑bed storage bins keep clothes and gear tucked away but easy to reach.

Hanging closet organizers help maximize every inch of vertical space.

A bedside pocket organizer keeps phones, glasses, and chargers right where you need them.

Rotate seasonal clothing so you’re not carrying more than you need.

🌟 Why This Matters
These aren’t just “organization hacks.”
They’re small habits that make RV life smoother, calmer, and more enjoyable. When your bathroom and bedroom work with you — not against you — the whole RV feels more like home.

🔗 My Amazon RV Tech List: https://amzn.to/4yVGeuh

🚐 RV Tech Essentials for 2026 — My Current Setup & Top Picks
Upgrading your RV workstation and electrical setup makes life on the road easier. Here are the tech items I’m adding today — all compact, RV‑friendly, and built for remote work + safe campground hookups.

🔳 Triple‑Screen RV Workstation
Portable monitors are the easiest way to boost productivity in a small RV space. I just added another lightweight 15.6" screen to my setup — perfect for travel days and tight desk areas.

⚡ Charging System / Power Tower
Running laptops, monitors, phones, and RV accessories means you need a solid power strip. Look for USB‑C ports, surge protection, and a vertical tower design to save space.

🔌 RV Electrical Safety Gear
Before plugging into any campground pedestal, protect your RV’s electrical system. Essentials include 30/50 Amp surge protectors, weatherproof outlet boxes, and temporary power panels.

💡 Small RV Tech Add‑Ons
Motion‑sensor step lights, magnetic door catches, waterproof cable pass‑through ports, and RV Wi‑Fi hotspots are simple upgrades that make RV life easier.

📣 If you’re upgrading your RV workstation or electrical setup, these items make a huge difference on the road.

RV Ready Guide – Kitchen & Living Area Organization
https://amzn.to/4g53puG
This is something every RVer goes through when they’re starting out — figuring out how to travel safely without opening the door at a campground and finding everything has shifted, bounced, or fallen all over the place.

In the kitchen, you want organizers that actually keep your dishes, spices, and supplies in place while you’re rolling down the road. We found dish racks that let our plates stand upright inside the cabinet, which keeps them from sliding around. We also use small, lazy Susans for spices so they don’t bounce all over the cabinet while driving.

One big upgrade to look at is spring‑loaded refrigerator bars. They help keep everything on the shelf and prevent food from falling at you the first time you open the door. (Trust me — you can’t catch everything when that happens.)

For storage containers, we keep all our leftover containers in one clear bin, and all the lids in another. Makes it easy to find what you need without digging through a pile.

If you’re just getting started and want to see the exact organizers we use, I’m putting together a page in my Amazon Associates area with all the products we’ve tested and trust.
I’ll share the link as soon as the page is ready so you can check them out.
