Which side of the lake should you drive on?
Just like driving on a road, boats should generally stay to the right (starboard side) when approaching another boat head-on.
Think of it as "driving on the right side of the lake."
Of course, boating has additional navigation rules for crossing, overtaking, and other situations—but don't worry...
